Indian Premier League - General Discussion

the other teams really need to think.
need to think to increase their payments for following the script.

Chennai's logic of spending 25 odd crores on blokes at the fag end of the careers will 100% eat them up in the future. Sure, they could have a mega 2022 but this won't last. There is no logic in spending such a large % of your purse on emotion.

Unless some unbelievable talent comes through the U19 ranks in the next 2-3 years, they are going to be stuck with a very very poor squad.

If Chennai still get anywhere near qualification then the other teams really need to think.

I think some franchises have gone high on emotion and they're going to pay a big price for it.

AB leaves and RCB decides to have a half decent auction apart from the Hasaranga madness!

Also, Chahal should be back to earth. I don't know what made him feel he was worth more than what RCB offered him.

CSK might still qualify, but I am 1000% sure we are going to have a few more of the 2020 horrors all over again, with a squad like this.

We better take the punt tomorrow on some uncapped / U19 guys. With the two new teams, competition has gotten way more fierce and CSK didn't have a aggressive strategy to counter.

I think Hasaranga is a decent price. As a player overall, as good as Rashid Khan.

Maybe Chennai are hoping to pick up a bunch of players in 2023 when everyone they've signed this year retires.

CSK could have saved a shit ton of money for the auction if they had just signed MSD as a mentor instead of a player.

Anyways, RR and Punjab looking good for a change. Delhi has also built quite a decent bowling attack with Kuldeep, Akshar, Notje, Thakur, Mustafizur and Nagarkoti.

What is CSK doing, why are they still bringing in the oldies when this was supposed to be a time to build for future?

They will sign Starc, Stokes & Jofra next year :p

Loosing Kamlesh and Krisna is a big blow for us. So far only 1 bowler in Pat.

Desperately waiting for uncapped pacers, Avesh to be precise.
