1 Parthiv Patel, 2 Rohit Sharma, 3 Virat Kohli, 4 Yuvraj Singh, 5 Suresh Raina, 6 MS Dhoni (capt & wk), 7 Yusuf Pathan, 8 Harbhajan Singh, 9 Piyush Chawla / Ashish Nehra, 10 Munaf Patel, 11 Zaheer Khan

My tomorrows XI match with Cricinfo's XI.

Chawla or Ashwin must get a game tomorrow.

Drop Vijay for god's sake

Vijay won't be in tomorrow's match and that's almost certain. Expecting India to go in with two pacers and two spinners, so that Chawla gets a game and if they wish to continue with three pacers, then Harbhajan should rested for the next two matches.

I think they should play those selected for world cup, the experiment time is over and time to play the real game starts with less than a month to go :cheers

I think Ashwin should get a chance ahead of Chawla if we are aiming for a series win.
And since the pitches are lot different, that won't make any difference for Chawla.

tweaking ████, Media showing that Dhoni injured his fingers yet again during practice!!

Will he be playing tomorrow's match? I hope he doesn't, would be good to see Parthiv keeping and someone like Zaheer, Harbhajan or even Kohli (was the captain of the U-19 WC winning side) to lead team India.

If Albie Morkels performs in the next couple of games can SA bring him into their WC squad?. Since they certainly dont know who is best suited to batting @ # 7 for them ATM.

Are they allowed that? They have already announced their squad, and barring injuries, I dont think they can change their squad anymore.

Ashwin should play tomorrow, not Chawla. Ashwin is our second spinner for the WC after Bhajji. He has to get a match practice ahead of the World Cup.

I think if they do play 2 spinners they would play Bhajji and Chawla to bring in variety. They would certainly need someone who can turn the other way with Yusuf,Bhajji bowling their offies.

Ashwin is not a regular offie. He has a carrom ball and other variations that differentiate him from the regular offie. And it would be irritating to see Chawla come in and steal Ashwin's place without having done much to justify his spot whereas Ashwin has done it the hard way by putting in good performances in the games he has played so far (IPL, CLT20 and international)

This is what is upsetting with current selection policies. Selecting someone less talented just for the sake of adding variety to the attack is such a bull and it was proved in Aussie's case. Ashwin is any day better than Chawla(may be better than Bhajji as it is arguable) and we need to give Ashwin a chance today. Give Chawla a chance if we win the series by today's match.

We need to pick Chawla. On what basis can the selectors justify his inclusion for the WC squad. The fellow hasn't even played an ODI in the last 12 months,so he desperately needs some match practice.

As for the captain, it gonna be a tough choice given that Dhoni chooses to sit out. The best option is Zaheer, followed by Harbhajan. Raina did captain the team in Zim,but I doubt whether he would be given a chance to lead with a couple of senior members in the team.
