I don't see how South Africa can be confident of doing well in the WC with Botha at 7. Surely with Duminy and now du Plessis to bowl, they could have a specialist batsman at 7? Do they even have Botha at 7 when Kallis plays?

Kohli has effectively taken 2 wickets just in fielding and in addition a brilliant low catch to dismiss Van Wyk. What a player!!

Idiot Nehra is back. Dump him for good after ths WC. Not that he would mind much, can continue to cash-in in IPL.

Choking doesn't mean abject failure. You have to first get into a position of control to choke. The way they're playing is just horrible.

At one stage yeah but after losing 4 quick wickets we would be happy with 260.

Well played by JP,botha and robbie p. Seems the selectors decision to play the better batsmen between robbie p and tahir worked some what. Still want tahir in the side once kallis is back.

Oh for sure it was a good effort to make something out of that debacle, but it's a true pitch and good for strokes, which probably contributed to the aid that Botha and Peterson were able to provide. South Africa will have to try to replicate the collapse for India, but they'll probably have to come up with actual wickets, rather than suicidal run outs, which makes their job that much harder.

If India's batsmen are any good, they should be able to handle this.

I was harsh on Vijay the other day, but at least you can cut him some slack as he's played a small number of matches(albeit not looking great in almost all of them). Rohit Sharma, on the other hand, can't be excused at all. There's no way Rohit Sharma should be anywhere near this Indian team. 60 ODIs, and an average of 28. Which is even lower, if you take out those two hundreds in the Zim/SL tri-series. And an average under 20 in his last 10 matches I think. Ridiculous. Especially when we have so much batting talent.

Sharma's just not got it mentally. He's so lazy with his shot selection. Seen him get out lbw way too often to lazy, late attempts at defensive strokes but completely misjudging the delivery.

Oh.. you talk of another wonder kid... Rohit Sharma. Every Indian cricket pundit and now even some foreign contingent regard him as something special. He must be! For everytime he gets dismissed he grudges with oohs n aahs. No ball is ever good enough

He is a proven failure now, and people should stop with the hype already. Rahane/Pujara are missing out because of this lazy good for nothing player.

@ LongLegs: Mate your previous 10 innings stats for Sharma might include a 40 odd against NZ (where Pathan scored a century). Even in that innings he edged the ball to keeper when in single digit scores, only for umpire to make a huge blunder.

Very very impressed with the way Parthiv Patel has been batting so far. Boy he looks so comfortable out there at the crease that runs have to eventually come. He seems to have tightened up his batting in some way, I guess. Hope he can solve the back up keeper issue for India forever.

Boy oh boy, Virat kohli looks better and better with every game, its going to be really tough decision to drop either of yuvi/raina/kohli in world cup line-up. Unless there is another yusuf blinder, or Dhoni/Raina decides to counter attack this is going to be very tough for India, Virtually impossible.
