lol stop making fun of Kallis's hair. Commies and posters here. He just got a simple haircut.

Over reaction anyone. The first day of a rain affected morning where the pitch has a lot to offer to the seamers. It could happen to any batting side in the world. Even the Aussies who are bred on such pitches were in a spot of bother on that Perth wicket in the morning.

Too early to be writing these guys off.

over reaction? for what.
None of the wickets fell due to an outclass delivery it was just pressure of green top pitch which made them to loose there wickets and that is poor batting. Ghambir (5 of 43 balls) was no where near to be a batsman I was expecting him to be.

Nevertheless Sachin is playing very well and he is the most dangerous of whole Indian lineup. It will be good for India if Sachin can hit another century here.

Well Gambhir surely struggled, but look at the pitch, it's damn good for bowlers. And it has that extra bounce in it.
For sure he wasn't upto expectations but we will have to wait to see him bat again.

If Kirsten was not to get few squad members to SA early, wonder what quality of practice our batsmen would have had. Gambhir despite being amongst runs in India looked so uneasy coping with bounce. BCCI should really make it a point to have practice matches prior to such an important test series rather they didnt even leave enough time between 2 series for players to get acclimatised to weather conditions.

I think Dravid was a touch unlucky, but the openers were out thought. Few wickets should actually come from glorious deliveries; at it's best, bowling is a subtle art and bowlers who carry out smart plans with diligence deserve the rewards.

Morkel didn't even look like putting in much effort. He just casually runs up and bowls 90 mph for fun.

Superb stuff from the South African pacers. I am thrilled on watching Morkel, never expected such lethal stuff from him.

This reminds me of the Johannesburg wicket in 2006 where we similarly struggled to a 200ish score and ended up getting a 120 run lead. Not saying that it will happen again but this is a good deck for seam bowling. It should suit Sharma well. I was disappointed to not see Yadav being picked ahead of Unadkat as he is someone who would have hit the deck hard.

Trust me, seeing Morkel made the ball talk and also the inconsistent bounce, Ishant Sharma should have a field day tomorrow.

It is a bit of an over reaction when you label a side as not good non-subcontinental conditions when they have`nt even played a warm up game and when we are only into the first few overs of a test on a juicy wicket for seam bowling.
