Does anyone here remember the India-SA series of 1996/96 where we had that mad mad partnership between Azhar and Sachin. We would do well to have one such spell here to make us feel better going into the second test. I beleive that our batting already looks far more settled except for Raina. VVS will come good with the class he has. The rest have all looked comfortable. We need to get Vijay in for Raina. Even Dhoni has looked the most fluent that he has for a while now.

I still believe we should give our bowlers another shot at it and it would only get better with Zak getting back for Durban. We all know how test cricket can turn around in a matter of days. We saw that in the Ashes. I still trust this side to make a turnaround at Durban.

He needs to attack left arm spinners. He plays weak defensive strokes, often gets his bat behind the pad. If he went at it a bit harder he would put Harris under pressure. Dravid plays left arm spinners beautifully, every time they drop short he slaps them for four.

WTF is Sachin upto, he's making frigging Harris look like a world class spinner.

He's being damn lazy with his shots. There's no positivity, he's just hanging his bat there n letting the ball meet it. Whenever the ball does a little bit, he's going to be in trouble big time. He's just asking to be caught at slip with a poke, some sly inside edge to short leg, or LBW.

Against left arm spinners, Sachin makes it an ego issue, 'Get past my defence'
Unnecessarily Tendulkar is allowing Harris to gain that confidence.

^^ Along with Dravid, Laxman too plays them well. His inside out shots and whips of the same line n length bowls is majestic.

Have to say you guys think 10x than what the players and the teams are actually doing.

P.S. I have a feeling at the back of my veins If sachin gets to a Hundred SA might start slipping on their stronghold in the game. Not necessarily shifting their supremacy but would just get a bad smell blown to their day. But Drawing to Indian sentiments, If sachin scores, India closes it's account in the match!

Wow. For some reasons I was expecting Sachin to score the 50th ton today, and so before going to sleep I had set the match recording. Hopefully he scores that now, would be so wonderful!

What a test match this has actually turned out to be with Kallis getting his maiden double ton, Dravid over-taking Brian Lara in total runs scored, Dravid reaching 12,000 runs, Morkel getting his best bowling figures and hopefully Sachin will now become the first batsman ever to score 50 test centuries in tests.
