It was great stuff from Steyn, it's at times like these that teams need someone like Steyn, or where India have relied on Zaheer to come in and nip some wickets. But Dhoni will regret the shot he played to that ball, should've kept his gloves down, he was looking to cut it and it was way too close to the body for that.

I suggest Sachin starts giving it some lick tomorrow, if India are still 8 down. Runs are going to be important now.

We're no way going to win this, Sachin to start slogging now to atleast take a lead here.

We won't survive till tomorrow.

Rain rain thunderstorm. India shouting.

Just 5 minures after I posted that, A storm came. Amazing. Hopefully it will eat tomorrow's play.

Good effort by india. SA will still wrap this up tomorrow.

Thunderstorm will be done later tonight, its a storm not heavy rain. Thunderstorms are short and sharp and centurion drains very fast.

This is what makes Steyn such a good bowler. Even on flat wickets you can expect him to give you that one brilliant delivery. Both Gambhir and Dhoni wickets were excellent balls.

Hope so but weather forecast say bright day tomorrow with 0% chances of precipitation :(

just hope for it, maybe or maybe the weather forecast will be proven wrong.

Read this from cricinfo.
Rohit Grover: "In 1996, Daryll Cullinan's century & rain prevented India from winning the 3rd test, Is this payback time?"

Rain helped cullinan and SA because it was a late afternoon thunderstorm but it didn't rain for a whole day.

India may have a change if they can somehow stretch the game to 16:00 tomorrow but the chances of that is virtually 0%.

I KNOW I'm going to anger pretty much every Indian fan when I said this but I that Sachin raising his bat and celebrating like that was sort of in bad taste considering the situation we are in. Shouldn't have done anything imo, however big an achievement it is (and trust me, I can recognize how big this is).

This second innings wicket is probably the best batting conditions India will have for the series. Since Durban & Capetown will definately/highly likely be full of pace & bounce throughout the match, similar to recent Perth test with AUS vs ENG.

^^Your thoughts Shravi, I'm not angry on you but just replying.
India was in a bad condition then but there were still many hopes, it was just after his century that things turned from bad to worse and worse to worst. It was a big century when India needed it.
And it is way too big an event for anybody playing cricket than what we people can feel. He did nothing wrong there.

My prediction : MOM - Rain.

These guys should be here.
Double A is a potential believer: "i was an atheist till it rained all day in Centurion on 20th Dec 2010.....plz God plz..."

Sundar with this gem: "I fail to understand why BCCI cannot organise rain for the whole of tomorrow."

When he made his century, Dhoni was at non-striker end and the things were going good for India and hope to save match was building up. So to make a century at a tight situation and it was his 50th century too which added more pressure to him to make a hundred so celebrating like he did was completely acceptable imo.

Durban I agree on. Not sure about cape town, last two years it hasn't really had much pace in it.

We are hopeless with this match now..

Cheers for Sachin's 50th century though. Great player!
