Huh? He could at least have made sure that India didn't lose by an innings. Sure, surviving the whole day may not have been possible but scoring 30+ runs surely was.Ha ha, some people here make me laugh. He (Sachin) didn't try to do what? Were you all expecting last two wickets to survive the day? Utter rubbish!
In SA news. The Kolpak selection have struck again with Dumminy & Parnell called up SA call up Duminy, Parnell - SuperSport - Cricket & F De Wet again overlooked.
India are very lucky De Wet isn't playing to back-up Steyn/Morkel.
To be fair both were in the squad before they were released to play ss cricket this weekend. Parnell took 3 wickets in the only inning he bowled for warriors and de wet 4 in the two innings he bowled. JP got a 200 not out.
I don't think they are qouta selections. I would like de wet in the squad ahead of tsotsobe since I believe mcclaren,de wet and parnell are better test bowlers then lopsy.
For now prince should keep his spot but if the likes of jp,rudolph and rossouw keep making runs he will be under pressure.

What's the point of coming back to bat if you don't even try and erase the deficit, may as well have had asked Dhoni to declare after Harbhajan got out last night.
i think there was a hidden message(s) here given by sachin to the tailenders / bowlers by taking those 1st ball singles.
"This is how a batsmen has to fear and feel when you run in to bowl"
"This is how 145Kph feels like!"
"Look at the amount of pace and movement generated even on a 5th day wicket"
"That Steyn and Morkel are world class bowlers and you guys are nothing but
useless motherflinging pie-chuckers.""

Home Affairs spokesperson Ronnie Mamoepa told The New Age that Tahir did not qualify for permanent residence. This has dashed the CSA’s hopes of picking the player for the national team in the near future.
Mamoepa said in a letter, “According to our records, Mr Tahir applied for permanent residence in South Africa on the basis of ‘scarce skills’. According to regulations from the Department of Trade and Industry, sporting codes do not qualify as scarce skills.
“As for his marriage to a South African citizen, the South African Immigration Act of 2002 legislates that permanent residence can be granted to a foreign national who has been the spouse of a South African citizen for a period of five years or longer.
“Since Mr Tahir does not comply with this requirement, permanent residence could not be granted.” Mamoepa has advised the player to reapply once he has been married to his wife for at least five years.
Tahir married his South African wife, Sumayya Dildar, on January 27 2007, which means he still has almost two years to complete the required five years that would place him in consideration for permanent residence.

Exactly, at least show some fight. I was very unhappy with how he went about things. Even if the chance of salvaging something from this match was next to impossible, that doesn't mean you just stop trying. You are not just playing for some Sunday league team. This is India.
