Well Zak was tiring, and had to be taken out. This is when the other bowlers need to step up. Ishant and Sreesanth don't really look like taking wickets at all. The wicket looks very flat now. Hopefully Harby gets the last couple sooner rather than later. Need to get a lead of 50 from here , at least. Sehwag will enjoy this wicket now I reckon.

Just as I said that Ishant gets Morne.

You bowled us out for 135 in previous match, we bowled you out for 131 :cheers

Now time for real challenge. Batsman has to make a big lead. Still 3 days are left after this.

Good work by India.. lucky with few wickets, but we needed it to bring us back into this series. Finally we get to see aggression in bowling from Bhajji to compliment his usually over-aggressive celebrations.

On other note I think this no-ball problem by Ishant is hurting a lot. The moment he steps up the pace and clocks 137/138 he bowls a no-ball, and then very next dellievery ends up overcompensating and is dispatched for runs. Kinda raises questions why Eric Simmons can't get this sorted out with Ishant yet. It was very costly in the Aus series as well.

I think the South African batting has been pretty weak. SA have a really long tail, and with Kallis getting out unluckily, AB getting a good ball, Amla - bad shot...and there India were through.

There is a lot of time still remaining in this game. Hopefully India make this lead count. A score of 300 here is definitely on because the wicket seems quite flat, conditions aren't too threatening and for the moment India have the momentum. South Africa wouldn't fancy chasing 350+. Sehwag is tailor-made for this situation, hopefully he gets through the first spell from Steyn.

For SA - Steyn's the man again. I don't rate Morne Morkel as highly. He is a bit Sharmaesque, although a fair bit better. I don't think his lengths trouble the Indian batsmen that much. The back up bowlers are just as bad as India's. If you think about it, take Steyn out of this attack and it looks ordinary. Fact is, Steyn is awesome.

Awesome performance by the Indians, hope the good work continues and they bat South Africa out of the match.

Absolutely unbelievable stuff there from India, especially Harbhajan. Bhaj has not covered himself with glory as far as wickets goes in the last few tests, but today he was back to his rampaging best and looked the world class spinner that he was hyped to be. The catch he took in the boundary to dismiss Morkel was stunning too. Zaheer deserves most credit for this turnaround, with him around, we look entirely different. Wish we find someone who can keep us going even without Zak.

74 run lead, India have to bat really well and put themselves in a winning position. WE CANT EVEN LET SA DRAW IT FROM HERE! WE NEED TO WIN THIS!

Batting SA out on this pitch would be tough. With the kind of assistance for the bowlers, SA will always remain somehow in the game even though they might be behind.

Haha. We're soo gonna fall flat on our faces, but screw it, lets just gloat.

Absolutely. Lets gloat while it lasts!

SA got out for 131 even though they are well versed with these conditions, they won the toss and they have batted on a day when the sun has been shining down for most part of the day. In fact according to the commentators, the wind that had been blowing today was more in favor of the batsmen than the bowlers, and yet SA got rolled out for 131. So before people start jumping on India as a hobby, we are not the only ones that do that badly. The top teams in the world do it too.:lol

What is immensely satisfying about this 131, and Australia's 98 and England's 123 in the space of the last week or so is that all of them have come when faced with less difficult conditions and less threatening bowling attacks than what India faced on the first day at Centurion. And we still got more runs than either of these innings.

By all means, let's gloat. Haters will always hate. Ignore the Trolly Troll.

What a loose shot. Out to Tsotsobe. Bleh. Viru's annoyed at himself.

Essentially 100+/1 now. Need to cash in.

Commentators (Shastri n Pallock) are bang on with their analysis of how mental state has such a huge role to play. The same Steyn-Morkel attack is not looking as threatening, as mentally they were not at all ready to be bowling again within a space of just 30 odd overs. Kinda similar thing happened to the Indian batting on 1st day at Centuriorn, mentally they were just not expecting as early a start as it happened.

As I write this Tsotsobe takes another freebie :facepalm
