R.S : Hello and Welcome to the Presentation ceremony for the match between Australia and Bangladesh which ended in an exciting way! Bangladesh winning in the last minute just by two runs! So another thriller in this Champions Trophy.

R.S : Now lets go to the presentation... I like to call Asutralian skipper, R.Ponting to the stage please to have few words with us!

R.S : Tough Luck Ponting! Missing it by a close margin. Well, whats ur opinion on this?

Yeah, it was a very narrow miss. We thought that we cud make it in the end where there was abt seven runs to get in the last over which was possible. But its unfortunate for us.. 231 is always an gettable score! But Bangladesh bowled and fielded well. Also,We lost the early four wickets which was one of the major reasons for this end....

R.S : You batted superbly and remained unbeaten... How was the pitch to bat on?

Well, it was bowler friendly right from the morning. The cracks were helping the spinners! So batting was little tough but it wud be bit easy after settling in.

R.S : Didn't u try for keeping strike in the last over?

Yes, i thought that McGrath wud be able to get a single but they bolwed well to contain McGrath.. But after the handy boundary in last over, we were expecting just three singles from last three balls which looked possible... Unfortunately we lost the last wicket!

R.S : Thanx Ponting for having few words with us.. With Ashes coming ahead, Wish u all the very best for that!

But our boys did well... We were trying hard in the field and also while batting... Just tried our level best and happy that it ended well for us!

R.S : With 231 as target, did u think it was enough to defend?

Actually we thought that we cud have added 20 more runs considering the pitch conditions. But our bowlers Mortaza,Razzak and Saleh did extremely to get all the crucial wickets. The last over was very crucial which was bowled well by Mortaza... So it was once again a teamwork that helped us!

R.S : Now u are into the semi finals.. Any plans for that?

Haven't thought of it till now.. But as usual, we will try our level best and lets see what happens.

* I have a feeling though that if Bangles get about 200 they could win this one, so I think the fact the Ponting has put them in gives them an opportunity.

Strong side. Bangladesh should get a decent 250+ score, and then take advantage of the cracks and let Razzaq, Rafique and Saleh/Ashraful rip apart the Aussie batting! It might be a good idea to let Aftab come in at 3. He is known for his fireworks when the field is in...

Yea, Aftab and Ashraful will fire in the end. As for now, Nafees and Bashar just have to play it safe and smart..

Nafees doing great.Bring in Aftab next, he can absolutely destroy quick bowlers. or, actually, send in Masud to bat for time. He can stick around and rotate singles very well.

Infact, that's all that Bangla has to do. 3-4 singles an over, the odd boundary will come, and then kick off at the end. The left-right combo helps, they should take advantage of it.

Aww...Masud, Rafique, Mortaza and Aftab can all hit the ball a long way. They just need to apply themsevles, 1-2 big overs, 80 runs form the last ten, and 220 is quite defendable.

Excellent stuff Aftab. He is a great master-blaster in the making. 231 is quite defendable, it's a good pacy wicket, help there for Mortaza and Shadat (Maybe even experiment a bit with Aftab's swingers for 2-3 overs), and then enough cracks for Rafique, Razzaq and Saleh to exploit. If it will turn big, then give the wrist spinner Ashraful a go. Hogg had some success, so who knows...

Let Aftab replace Shadat. His wingy medium pacers could be useful. He is the only Bangladeshi bowler to have an ODI Five-fer Aftab. Got it in New Zealand in similar conditions.

Whats ur view on this match in general?

G.B :- Yes Syl, this is definitely a confident booster for Bangladesh team... And abt Nafees, he has played well in both the games in champions trophy and the techniques were very matured that impressed me a lots.

S.G :- If he continues the same tactics, definitely a great future waiting for him ahead!

G.B :- Now Syl, here is the second question from me,

Where did Aussies fail today as they just lost by two runs.. Anywhere u feel that they cud have done better?

S.G :- Yes, the batting display was not upto the expectations. Especially Hussey and Gilchrist threw away their wickets by attempting unnecessary shots! The failure of the top order was the main reason for Aussies failure.

G.B :- Also, they cud have tried Watson up the order after loosing an early wicket instead of Hussey as that wud have made atleast a small difference!

S.G :- A final question from me Syl,

Did u expect Aussies or Bangladesh to win after the situation like 7 runs from 6 balls came.. that too Ponting was still there?

G.B :- This is what i was also expecting from McGrath to give strike to his skipper But anyways it was a great game of cricket overall played! well done Bangla.. hope this confidence and good form continues in semi finals as well
