Day 3, 2:45PM.

India Takes The Lead!
( Dravid dismissed,Tendulkar's quick fifty )
postlunchsessiontz2.jpg

Well, the play resumed after lunch. There was a huge amount of pressure still mounted on Indian skipper and Tendulkar. Smith continued with Pollock and Botha after lunch. There were huge roaring noises from the spectators of both sides. Tension existed more in Indian dressing room though as the first one hour of lunch is always going to be crucial and they should take care of preventing further fall of wickets.

Tendulkar's Survival!

tendulkarnotoutwj2.jpg

In one of deliveries of Botha, Sachin attempted his favourite cheeky shot but did not get the timing right. Immediately there was a huge appeal from the keeper, slip fielders and the bowler for the caught behind. But the umpire remain unmoved.

Tendulkar nodded his head and gave a sarcastic smile towards the bowler. But the bowler and others were too convinced that there was a thick edge. SouthAfrican skipper was disappointed the most among all. Bowler can't believe it. Keeper can't believe it. The replay showed that it was very close and nothing was confirmed though.

The things returned to normal after that and Botha returned back for the next delivery. If this would have gone in favour of the bowler, Indian team's hopes would have been shattered. Umpire's denial keep the excitements wide spread.

Little Master's Domination.

tendulkarresponsehm2.jpg

After that, bowlers really had no chance of putting the master in trouble. Its because, Sachin started to go over the bowlers with atmost aggression. He played some lovely smashing drives that went like a rocket to the fence.

Smith and his fielders stood confused and unmoved most of the times watching the ball to reach the boundary ropes. At the same time, there were some brilliant chases attempted. It too resulted in giving up in the last minute for a boundary. Even the experienced fox, Pollock failed to trouble the master.

In one of the deliveries of Pollock, Tendulkar came down the track and it looked like he was going to hit a huge one.. but the master judged the slow delivery very well and delibrately played the cheeky edged shot that went to the boundary too. Pollock was only able to laugh sarcastically at Tendulkar's cunning approach.

In other end, Dravid rooted as firmly as rock and gave singles to his partner most of the times. This partnership frustrated the entire SA team. Tendulkar soon reached his fifty and recieved great applauses from everyone. What an entertainment this has been.. Stunning fifty! Well played Sachin! :clap

Dravid's Soft Dismissal.

dravidoutwe8.jpg

Smith's continuous hopes on Botha worked finally with the most important dismissal of Indian skipper.

In one of the deliveries of Botha, Dravid played an soft shot in offside which went flat in the air towards the fielder, Gibbs. He made no mistake in taking that simple catch. This ended the solid innings of Rahul Dravid. The celebrations continued for SouthAfrica. Smith was relieved a bit to get rid of Indian wall which they were hunting for a long time.

Dravid, received applauses from everyone while going back to the dressing room. Brilliant innings, thus came to an end in a simple way! Dhoni arrived as the new batsman.

Still Pressure on India!

crucialtimeyh0.jpg

Well, the first one hour after lunch belonged to both India as well as SA. There were initial pressure on batsmen and then Sachin putting those away in style with his magnificent smashings and then SA were able to get rid of the Indian skipper. So the contest is swinging in both sides between the ball and the bat. Overall, spectators are most benefited with these exciting actions taking place in front of them. India still needs another huge partnership to get a comfortable lead while Smith need just another wicket to finish the Indian bowling line-up. Have to wait and see how it turns up though. Stay Tuned! :)

Dravid was unucky. I really thought he would get his well deserved century. But it was not to be. And I must say Suren bhai this presentation and graphics is amazing. Brilliant works mate. I am loving this story :)

Good pres suren...... Dravid unlucky to miss out on a centurt.. Good Batting by sachin......... The Graphics r looking very good ....... Which card you r using.........

This pair really need to perform now, if they don't India lose I think. Excellent knock from Dravid and unlucky not to get to his 100. Tendulkar has to get a hundred here.

Great presentation Suren!!

Not commented on your story for a while buddy so i thought i'd drop a comment. Fantastic work, this story gets better and better. India will be dissapointed to lose Dravid and therefore need Dhoni and Sachin to make big big scores. Sachin can do it, but not sure about Dhoni. Fabulous Story Suren buddy !!.

Day 3, Tea Break.

Tendulkar And Dhoni Lead The FightBack!
( Some quick fireworks from both the batsmen )

Well, with just around a hour left for the Tea break, Smith continued to shuffle his bowling. He was operating with Ntini, Kallis, Botha and Nel. It seemed that Smith was ready to experiment anything for one more wicket so that he can aim to finish the tail as soon as possible. At the same time, The entire SA dressing room is aware that, with Sachin Tendulkar at the crease, anything is possible.

Some Small Fights.

dhonivsntinihz2.jpg

In one of the overs of Ntini to Dhoni, the bowler attempted a quick bouncer with great pace. Since it was attacking field to Dhoni with just one man in leg side boundary, batsmen went for a aggressive pull shot aiming for a biggie.. But the bat failed to make contacts with the ball and instead, Dhoni got firmly struck on his shoulders.

Dhoni suffered a bit with pain for some seconds. At the same time, Ntini, who came to pick the ball, stared at Dhoni and exchanged few words with the batsman. Dhoni did not respond in turn but simply put his head down and was adjusting his gloves to get ready for next ball. Ntini went back to start his next delivery. Interesting action happened very next ball.

The next ball was a same bouncer from Ntini.. This time, the consequence was different though. Dhoni gave a strong reply by hitting it hard which went very very high in the air.. For a moment, it looked like ball landing safely in the hands of a fielder standing there.. Indeed, it went straight to the fielder, but, the fielder was found standing beyond the ropes. Thus ball managed to get enough distance for a big SIX!!! The fielder stood helpless.

Dhoni's reply to Ntini's words spreaded the excitement even more further. Many Indian fans started shouting Dhoni's name after that six. Tendulkar had some words with his partner.. May be, he would have asked him to maintain patience considering their team's situation. Dhoni was very alert and watchful though.

EverDominating Tendulkar.

tendulkardominationev7.jpg

In the other end, Tendulkar had a complete control over the game. He defended all the good ones & at the same time, he went over the bowler even if there was a slight margin of error from the bowler.

Smith stood confused about how to stop this little master. He shuffled his bowlers and the field, but Tendulkar outsmarted them by denying his wicket. He played some magnificent shots all around the ground. In one of the deliveries of Botha, Tendulkar went for a huge six. It was just magnificent to watch. This, ofcourse, reminded every spectator, " Tendulkar of young age! ".

He played some lovely cover drives which helped him in boundaries as well as for rotating strikes. He had a dominating control in offside as he was able to pick the gaps with ease. The boundaries flowed in at regular intervals for India. Smith and his team got more and more frustrations with this aggressive approach of the Master.

Good Support From Dhoni.

dhonifireworksvw5.jpg

In the other end, Tendulkar recieved a good/solid support from Dhoni. Like Sachin, Dhoni also played some magnificent shots. He was very eager to go at the bouncers though. He played a couple of pull shots in similar style that went for the boundaries.

Dhoni played his favourite helicopter shot too which looked something different to watch. :p He was striking the ball with atmost power even to rotate singles. At the same time, he was very careful against some of the brilliant yorkers attempted by Nel and Kallis. Inspite of trying to create some troubles, bowlers were clueless about the approach of this pair. Smith was busily working with his field to stop these two but the result remained the same.

With some great entertainments provided by these two, the time also moved fast and tea time arrived. Umpires asked the players to leave for short tea break and players left the field.

How Far Can these Two take?

dhonitendulkarhd2.jpg

Well, the last one hour completely belonged to India. Sachin Tendulkar and Dhoni have been punishing the bowlers to extreme extent and thus helped in moving the scorecard quickly too. This aggressive approach, even though it has high risk factor, has helped India till now. India needs to continue the same situation to get some good lead to defend this match and the series. Meanwhile, Smith badly needs a wicket to break this solid partnership. Have to wait and see how the things turn up after Tea break. Stay Tuned! :)

India : 340/4( 88 Overs,2nd Innings )
S.Tendulkar : 88*(91)
MS Dhoni : 39*(57)

R.Dravid : 94(209) Dismissed by Botha.

SA : 395/10( 1st Innings )

India : 156/10 ( 1st Innings )

India Lead By 101 Runs.

Can Tendulkar touch that triple figures?

India are going very well so far. I like the way Dhoni attempted to do the "helicopter shot :p." India have a lead over 100 which is good at the moment. Great works Suren bhai. Superb!

Another great update Suren, India need to continue and get a few more runs. Hundreds from Dhoni and Sachin are key. 101 run lead is nowhere near enough. This partnership is vital.
