Also Suren bhai. This is the last test. After this is the T20 game and the ODI Series. You have put a lot and I mean a LOT! of effort into this test series to make this story so good. I've only just read that update, and thats why I'm replying so late! That was a massive, massive mini-session for South Africa, to get through that unscathed will I think to prove to be very important for them. South Africa are hot favourites now, but, I still wouldn't count out an India comeback.

Dominating Win for SA!
( Gibbs and Kallis Lead the team to Victory )

Well, with just 170+ runs to defend, Indian team came out of dressing room with atmost pressure. The crowd's attendance was comparatively lesser than Day 3. It looked like many Indian fans did not turn up for Day 4. SouthAfrican openers arrived,following the umpires and Indian players,with relaxed mind. They were just expected to get rid of that first one hour carefully. Infact, all the things went right for home-team on Day 4.

Early Runs for SA.

Villiers and Gibbs started off with positive approach against the bowlers. Zaheer and Sreesanth tried to create problems to the batsmen but it ended up in other way. Both Gibbs and Villiers started playing magnificent shots.

Sreesanth's bad bouncers were punished by both the batsmen. Dravid was completely unhappy with Sreesanth's line/length. Zaheer also went for some boundaries. Overall, the day started off with great excitements to the home crowd. Indian skipper brought Kumble very early. Both Zaheer as well as Sreesanth were stopped and Kumble/Pathan were operated by Dravid. The bowling change worked out for India. Kumble got rid of Villiers.

Villiers Dismissed by Kumble.

Kumble, after his initial over, suprisingly went to bowl around the wicket to Villiers. This created some uncomfortness to Villiers. In one of the deliveries, batsman completely missed while attempting to play it straight. The ball striked the stumps and it resulted in clean bowled. Atlast, Dravid was bit relieved but their(India's) position was still not that great.

Anyways, celebrations continued and Villiers returned to pavilion. Kallis arrived as a new batsman. The heros(Kallis/Gibbs) of first innings once again turned out to be heros in this innings too. Both started to take the game away from India.

Kallis/Gibbs ~ Winning the Match for SA.

Kumble's bowling soon turned out to be very less effective with both Gibbs and Kallis playing with atmost watchfulness. The batsmen executed their shots perfectly with quick pace too.

In particular, Gibbs started to dominate the Indian bowling attack. One huge six from Pathan's over(by Gibbs) stopped him from the bowling. Dravid then brought Harbhajan but it seemed like batsmen wanted to finish off the game as soon as possible.Gibbs completely shattered the hopes of India with his aggressive batting approach and firm support of Kallis. This was the same way these two played in first innings. Gibbs reached his fifty and recieved applauses from everyone for the entertainment.

Soon after, Kallis also started accelerating his scoring rate. Two huge sixes in Harbhajan's over by Kallis made the Indian skipper to stand helpless. He became just as a spectator watching the ball to go all over the ground. Kallis too recieved applauses for reaching his magnificent fifty. Lunch time also arrived very fastly but there was no happiness in Indian dressing room. The reason is very obvious though.

SA Level the Series 1-1.

Soon after the lunch break, match came to over with Gibbs hitting the winning runs in Harbhajan's over. Also its to be noted that, Sreesanth was smashed for three consecutive boundaries after lunch. This increased the frustrations further for Dravid.

With Gibbs hitting the winning runs, everyone(home side support) started jumping over their seats with joy and happiness. Smith was excited in the dressing room.... Rhodes was excited in the dressing room.. SA coach was excited.. Everyone in SA dressing room were filled with 100% joy and happiness for leveling this series by winning this match.

Indian players exchanged handshakes with SA players and everyone left the field soon after. In the end, the match turned out to be a one sided contest with Gibbs and Kallis dominating the bowlers and thereby winning the match for their team.

Scorecard.

Well, with 190+ runs as target and with two days left, there was nothing much for Indian bowlers to do. They tried their best but it was home team making a dominating win over the visitors in the end. Kallis and Gibbs stole the show on Day 4 by providing great entertainments to their spectators.

Overall, both India and SA gave more than their 100% in this test series. India won 1 match, SA won 1 match and one match ended up in draw. This sums up the final situation of this series to 1-1. Both the teams deserve to hold the trophy and they did it.

SA Won by 9 Wickets and Level the Series 1-1.​

Well, i am extremely in happy mood and so wanted to share that with you,

I am now a university rank holder. :happy:happy:happy Anna University( under which there are 220+ colleges in Tamil Nadu ) announced the overall ranking list just few hours before. I was delighted to see my name in that. I am ranked 20th. ( With 3879/4500 marks(86%) secured in my entire B.E ) The first rank was 89%. I was extremely delighted to get a university rank among 220+ colleges. Another great day in my life. :onpc

Yes, the test series is over. I will update the final presentation ceremony as soon as possible. Probably this weekend as i get time only in weekends. And thank you for the great wishes in your previous post too.

First of all, from a cricketing point of view, a disappointing end for the series from India, but a draw in South Africa is still good.
