( Tendulkar reaches 100, Quick 2 Wkts from Irregular bowlers )​

With Tendulkar and Dhoni going strongly, Smith was trying his experimentations to extreme extents. This time, he stopped all his regular bowlers and to everyone's suprise, he brought himself and Kemp into the attack. Its to be noted that Smith has bowled some handy overs in ODI matches. Infact, Kemp's bowling did the trick for SA getting rid of well settled Dhoni which added suprise further.

Dhoni, The Victim of Kemp.

In one of the deliveries, Kemp bowled a short pitched delivery and Dhoni went for a huge pull shot but did not get his timing right. It resulted in thick edge which made the ball to stay in air for long time and then it landed safely in the hands of Villiers. Smith was delighted the most because his gambling on bowling worked out.

SA were trying to get rid of this partnership for a long,long time but finally, it ended in an unexpected way. It was a big blow for India as well. Dhoni was frustrated to extreme extent and was almost about to throw his bat while walking back to the dressing room. Pathan replaced Dhoni at the crease.

Tough Time for Pathan.

With Pathan as the new batsman, Tendulkar decided not to give too much of exposure of Pathan to hungry SA bowlers. Hence, he started taking risks to keep himself on strike.

As a result, some singles were converted into Two's. Eventhough, there was a excellent running from both the batsmen, Pathan was in dangerous end most of the times. On several occasions, Pathan made a full spread dive to reach the crease safely. One thing was sure though, i.e, there was excellent understanding between these two batsmen in running. Irfan responded well to Sachin's call without any hesitations or dual mindedness.

Little Master's Century.

At the same time, Tendulkar's score touched the triple figures. He reached his century with a boundary and raised his bat towards the dressing room but just once. He was not looking much happy about his century because of the team's situation.Still, everyone except Sachin himself, believe that it was an excellent century under massive pressure.

From the opponent's side, Kallis gave a warm handshake to Tendulkar. Crowd gave warm applauses as well. Well done Sachin! It was a great comeback too after the first ball duck in first innings.

Pathan, The Victim of Smith.:

As the things slowed down a bit for India after Dhoni's dismissal, Smith continued operating himself with Kemp. Once again, Smith gave a suprise to everyone by getting a Test wicket!

Smith bowled a normal delivery..but it somehow came into the batsman.. Pathan was completely decieved. He tried to play a drive in offside but because of the movement, ball struck the pads of Pathan and went towards the stumps. This resulted in clean bowled and suprise wicket for the SouthAfrican skipper.

The entire team continued their celebration while Pathan walked back with disappointments. Anil Kumble replaced Pathan at the crease. This time, Sachin Tendulkar turned even more cautious and simply rotated the strike in last ball of the over. Tendulkar tried to get boundaries in first few deliveries.. and even denied the running for the shots that went straight to the boundary fielders. This slowed down the things even more for India as well as for Sachin Tendulkar.

Its Tendulkar Vs SA now!

Well, with just tail exposed to SA bowlers, India have pressed the panic button. Only hopes for India is, " Sachin Tendulkar ". He needs a big and crucial support from Kumble to set a decent total on the board to defend the match and the series. Meanwhile, Smith would be extremely pleased with the things that went on after Tea. He should be looking to bring his strike bowlers to destroy the tail and finish up the things as soon as possible. Tendulkar really needs some support from the lower order here. Kumble can provide that. It was irresponsible from Dhoni and Pathan to get out to part timers, its really heaped the pressure on Tendulkar. A great century from him.

With Kumble expected to play some supportive role to Tendulkar, Smith brought Pollock back to prevent that and do some damage to the tail. Kemp was continuing in other end though. Infact, Kemp added another suprise to everyone by getting another wicket and this time its Kumble.

Kumble, The Second Victim of Kemp.

It was a straight delivery from Kemp which Jumbo(Kumble) tried to defend it. But it unfortunately resulted in a thick outside edge. The ball comfortably carried to Keeper and Boucher did not make any mistake in taking the simple catch. Kumble walked towards the dressing room and the celebrations for South Africa continued.

Tendulkar got very much disappointed because he expected Kumble to stay with him which he has done on many occasions. The tensions were widespread in Indian dressing room. Still, all the fans had strong hopes on Tendulkar to continue the one-man show further. Harbhajan Singh arrived as the new batsman.

Master Blaster Going Wild!

With just few wickets remaining, Tendulkar decided to go over the bowlers blindly. He played some magnificent shots all over the ground. He went for some huge ones too. Even the experienced Pollock failed to decieve this Master. In one of the slow deliveries of Pollock, Tendulkar judged that perfectly and swept that away patiently for the maximum.

He smashed Kemp's one of the short deliveries too for huge Six! Fielders were having tough time though. They were chasing behind the ball till the last minute. And during those sixes, they were helpless except for watching the ball to go over them. Smith's defensive field tactics also failed to stop this little master. Runs got added to the scorecard at a rapid rate.

Apart from Tendulkar, even Harbhajan went for couple of big ones. This brought the fans again to enjoy and jump from their seats. Boundaries after boundaries added entertainment to Indian fans and frustrations to entire SouthAfrica team. Atlast, it was Kemp once again, who got rid of Harbhajan and provided a crucial breakthrough.

Final Wickets.

It was a normal delivery from Kemp in which Harbhajan got a thick edge and the ball was carrying towards the slip fielder. The height was too low for Gibbs to take that.. but, he(Gibbs) made a fantastic dive and managed to get hold of the ball. Thus, the fantastic catch put an end to this small entertaining partnership. Harbhajan started walking towards the dressing room and celebrations continued for the home team. This added even more pressure to Tendulkar.

Soon after, Pollock got rid of little master too. He bowled an slow yorker which Tendulkar tried to put it away for huge one but this time, the tricky slow delivery of experienced Pollock decieved the little champ.. Ball failed to make any contacts with the bat and directly struck the stumps. Thus, Tendulkar was clean bowled by Pollock.

Sachin was disappointed to get out in this way but it was a splendid effort by him in this innings. He(Tendulkar), indeed, recieved many handshakes from SA players like Kallis, Pollock and even the SA skip,Smith for such a dominating innings under massive pressure. Little Master also recieved standing applauses from everyone while he was returning to dressing room. Magnificent and glorious knock, thus came to an end. Well played Tendulkar! :hpraise

Sreesanth was dismissed in the same over by Pollock. It was a very soft dismissal. Batsman tried to play in legside which resulted in simple catch to nearby fielder, Botha and this put an end to India's second innings with the lead of 192.

So, SouthAfrica needed 193 to win this match and level the series. With just few minutes left for Day3 to end, SA openers arrived and survived the five overs bowled by Zaheer and Sreesanth. SA ended the Day 3 with 17 runs in those five overs without a wicket. Umpire removed the bails off and players left the field.

India's 2nd Innings Scorecard.

With just 176 runs needed in two days for SA, the home team is in complete control over this game. Unless there is a exceptional bowling from Indian bowlers, home team should be able to level this series by winning this match. A tough job is left with Indian skipper now. Tendulkar's 147 runs provided a great entertainment to everyone towards the end, in particular. Indian captain would be looking to get some quick wickets and apply some pressure on SA in morning session while Smith would be looking to finish this game off as soon as possible without any troubles. Have to wait and see how the contest turns up in tomorrow's morning session. Stay Tuned!
