PONTING THREATENS THE BOLWERS!!!

With Jacques started the innings aggresively, everyone expected ponting to play a supportive role as Aussies wants their skipper to settle down and play shots in the end!

But the role changed... Jacques was contented to give strike to Ponting and Ponting was playing a dominating role! He started freeing his arms with great confidence! Pathan and Munaf struggled to get their line and length correct..

Ponting went wild over both the opening bowlers and Dravid was not able to understand as how to stop this ponting's attack because Ponting went all around the ground!

Ricky Ponting was playing everywhere -- legside, straight, Offside using frontfoot as well as backfoot! It was a real testing time for Indian skipper to place his fielders!

Dravid was well aware that with the target they have, they shdnt allow this continue! Dravid was found frustrated on the field..Samething was found even in Indian Dressing room... Indian fans have gone to silence and were cursing the bowlers infact becos both Munaf and Pathan weren't sure where they were bowling as it was smashed all over!

The best thing that striked Dravid is to stop both the bowlers if batsmen aren't stopping and this resulted in the first bowling change of bringing Agarkar into the attack and infact that worked for India!

Atlast A breakThrough --- Jacques departed!

Ajit Agarkar was able to move the ball a bit and that made the huge difference from the other bowlers and also fetched the important wicket for India!

Agarkar bowled the delivery that was slightly moving away from the left hander( i.e, was pitched in middle stump line and moving away towards offstick ) and Jacques misread this & went for the backfoot to play an ordinary shot to get a single! But Jacques was decieved and the ball went in the gap between the bat and pads and the striked the stumps taking off the bails!

This was a huge wicket and important break through for India! Dravid was hoping to break this pair for a long time and atlast he succeeded with the bowling change!

Jacques was disappointed and returned to the dressing room and Hussey was promoted up the order and sent in to join his skipper at the crease! Usually Martyn used to bat in this position but as Hussey was in good touch, Australia sent him and this pair is going to be again an important one which Indians shd never allow to settle! Already the scoring rate of Aussies is above 6R/O.

Also Ponting need to calm down a bit from his aggresiveness and shd now look to carry on the innings with singles becos Aussies dont want to loose wickets in next 10 or 15 overs for them to win this match at ease!

But Indian bowlers need to get couple of quick wickets if they have to stay on this match becos India can only win by making Aussies all out and not by trying to contain them for 50 overs!

Ponting is brilliant at seizing the initiative and once again he does it here. A few more overs of Ponting could see India finished in this match quickly.

Ponting looking strong, the bowling change should have been made much earlier as now I think it will be hard to stop Ponting. Good presntation Suren, keep it up.

Great batting for Ponting but a crucial wicket of Jacques there for Agakar.

Hussey needs to play a massive innings and keep with Ponting

Ponting could take the Aussies home now, however, you never know if India get 2 quick wickets. India have to make sure Australia dont carry on at this run rate. Excellent presentation again.

AUSSIES ON THE WAY IN VICTORY PLATFORM!​

With the wicket of Jacques, Dravid was hoping to get more wickets to be right back on the match.... Also one of the opening bowlers, Munaf Patel was already stopped from the attack... Now Dravid stopped Pathan also and brought a suprise bowling change of Sourav Ganguly! The more suprising thing is Ganguly striked in very first over!

Dangerous Hussey --- Victim Of Ganguly

Ganguly bowled an ordinary medium pace delivery and Hussey was just looking to work it on legside for runs but it unfortunately made the ball to travel in air and turned out to be a simple catch for Yuvraj Singh! Yuvi,one of the best fielders in Indian team didnt find any dificulty in taking the catch!

The entire Indian Team was excited and they were having more hopes to take some more quick wickets but things went on differently after that!

Bowlers Finding No Solution to This Man so Called Ponting!

The happiness for the Indian Players lasted for only few minutes as Ponting started shattering the dreams of Indian Victory!

Bowlers were finding no solution to this man and Dravid also wasnt able to decide properly where to place his fielders becos, Ponting was going wild over the bowlers everywhere around the ground!

He was continuing the same aggression which he started from the begining and Agarkar & Sourav was confused as where to pitch the ball! Australian spectators were enjoying the music of Ponting!

Ricky Ponting playes some beautiful coverdrives, cut shots ( though its rare in game to play ) , stepping out of the crease and leg glances with his fron & back foot!

This is Ponting which Aussies were missing for some time... And the most intersting thing is ,

* Both Indian & Aussie skippers came to form after a long time
* Both got 50+ though ponting is still playing!

MARTYN --- this is what they say " Calm Before Storm! "

Well, while Ponting was aggressive in one end, Martyn initially was happily blocking at the crease! But the adavantage is that he was able to provide good support to his skipper!

But suddenly Martyn went wild over Harbhajan which was an unexpected one! Bhaji was brought in as a change with the hopes of creating some damage with spin but was helpless!

First Ball :- Bhaji bowled a first ball and Martyn just was contented to play an stroke!


Second Ball :- It was an arm ball and Martyn just happily striked it with more power to a huge six! Martyn was very comfortable in sitting and hitting six


Third Ball :- It was an offbreak and Martyn again sat and swept off to a big six...It seems Martyn was more more comfortable now in sitting and hitting


Fourth Ball :- Martyn played an lovely leg glance to four!

Bhaji was frustrated a lot!


Fifth & Sixth Ball :- Happy to block again!

So ( 0,6,6,4,0,0) of toatally sixteen runs in that over boosted Martyn's confidence higher and almost destroyed hopes of Indian' victory further!

Is there any chance of India Winning? with the required rate for Aussies of about just above 3R/O!
