India In SouthAfrica
India Vs SouthAfrica

Third Test,Live From Newlands, Cape Town.
Day 1, 4:59 PM.

SA In Commanding Position!
( Kemp Taking the Control of the Game )

Well, the partnership between Dippenaar and Kemp started growing and remained as yet another threat to the bowlers. Dravid was once again made to press the panic button which resulted in frequent bowling changes. The pair grew stronger and stronger creating more frustrations for the bowlers as well as the fielders.

Kemp/Dippenaar Dominating The Bowlers.

kempanddiptw5.jpg

The patience was broken by Dippenaar and Kemp who initially started their partnership watchfully. They went over all the bowlers. Ball was travelling in all directions and fielders some time had to chase that till last second and some times felt lazy and hence stood still watching the ball to touch the ropes! :p

Kemp slowly started to attempt for big shots and was successful in getting boundaries but not massive ones though. In other end, Dippenaar reached his fifty and raised his bat proudly towards the dressing room. It was yet another which was applauded by everyone. What an innings this has been under pressure especially after Gibbs went. :clap It was when, Dippenaar started growing dangerous, Kumble got rid of him.

Jumbo Tricks!

( Still, Third Umpire's Decision seemed to be Wrong )

dipoutav6.jpg

Kumble was introduced back into the attack giving rest to Zaheer Khan. It was Jumbo trick which decieved Dippenaar. The batsman was occupied fully with attacking approach which was well read by Kumble.

Immediately, Kumble attempted the leg side line... Without judging this properly, Dippenaar came down the track trying for a big one.. but the ball missed to make any contacts and straight away went to Dhoni's gloves. Dippenaar did made an quick attempt to reach the crease. And at the same time, Dhoni removed the bails too. The decision went to third umpire.

After several replays, the red light glowed which spreaded the relief and happiness among the Indian players and fans. The replay also showed that Dippenaar made home safe before the bails have been taken off but this decision seemed to be a mystery to the SA dressing room. The celebration for the Indian team continued and Dippenaar with lots of frustration walked back to dressing room. Boucher came in joining Kemp.

Dravid Running Out Of Bowling Options.

bowlingoptionsjp5.jpg

Dravid once again, brought back Zaheer Khan. The shuffling of the bowlers made to look like Dravid running out of the bowling options. He shuffled Harbhajan, Kumble, Ganguly, Zaheer and Sreesanth after Tea.

This was all due to Kemp's attacking approach. The entertainment did not stop with Dippenaar's dismissal.. Kemp continued the roll which Gibbs left.. Boundaries came frequently and thereby accelerating the scorecard. Kemp also reached his fifty and the crowd gave him the standing applauses for brilliant entertainment he has provided. In other end, Indian skipper was not happy though. Added to this, Boucher also gave warm welcome to Ganguly by cracking three consecutive boundaries in his very first over that included three no balls as well. Thats it.. After one over, the ball was taken off from Ganguly's hands.

Dhoni Making a Mistake???

catchmissedam1.jpg

In one of the overs of Zaheer Khan, Kemp attempted an strange sweep shot that failed to make any contact with the bat.. but it did look as if, the ball has touched the gloves of batsman.. Dhoni made an attempt to take it clean.. but failed in the end.. The ball went past him.. Zaheer was almost into the celebration but was disappointed to see the end result! Umpire also gave a sarcastic smile.

If that catch would have been taken and another wicket would have brought India back into the contest.. but have to wait and see whether Dhoni's mistake cost huge in the end. Humans are known to make mistakes eh? :p But there was no satisfaction seen neither on Dravid's face nor Zaheer's face.

Well, around one hour went after Tea break.. The session till now, belonged to SouthAfrica inspite of Dippenaar's dismissal. The spinners haven't created any big impacts till now.. which is what Dravid is not happy with it. The home team should be pleased with the things going on for them and if they continue the same, there is no doubt that, pressure will be on India. Have to wait and see what Dravid does next though.. Stay Tuned :)

great work surendar great story and interesting to see what the south africans post and weather the Indians can hunt them down

nice update Suren,

SA in good position... India needs to do something quick !!
If they allow SA to go around 450+.. it will be real difficult for them to win this one.

Good update! But just those annoying grammar mistakes;) I'm not being mean or anything but when you say
Immediately, Kumble attempted an leg side line...
And
Added to this, Boucher also gave an warm welcome
Its meant to be just an a, because the word after it doesn't start with a vowel.

Other than that, great update and Iam glad that South Africa are in control on this first day:p

Bad desicion by the 3rd umpire to give that out. But i dont think it will hurt SA to much as they are pressing into the lead. Khan unlucky not to get that wicket but i dont think it touched the glove anyway.
Great Pres Suren! Well done and keep it up.

Good update! But just those annoying grammar mistakes;)

Thanks for spotting it out and sorry too :) Edited those two.. Also, I typed that update with full sleep around 2 AM... if there is anymore typo also, let me know ;)

I guess people are being bit over-critical... or may be I feel so as Suren is my personal favourite..

Nevertheless, Great Story.. Great Presentation... hats off to you for such an effort...

No we are not. He asked to see if we could find any more mistakes. We are just trying to help.

I agree with Baz. Great works Suren bhai. Kumble got him. And surely the 3rd umpire must be suffering from hypoxia ..:p:p:p
