Decent start this is for India. Hope Vijay and Pujara kick on further. Quite surprising to see Vijay having cemented his test spot very firmly. He is India's first choice opener right now in test cricket.

Well Murli Vijay was looking a bit uncomfortable against Johnson outside the off stump. May be it was Johnson's pace because, he was leaving it well alone against everyone else. Just allowed Australia to come back in that session with that wicket.

This has become quite a trend with our batsmen over the last year or so, almost always doing a poor job of seeing the session off, which in turn takes a hit as far as psychological edge is concerned going into the break and the following session.

Vijay has been really good for us. He has really improved his technique and can now perform overseas, I remember he couldn't do this before.
