This "Philip Hughes" drama is getting seriously overboard. Applause at a bouncer, celebrating at 63 not out, etc is just so overboard. Don't convert him into another Princess Diana, seriously? Let's get on with life, shall we? A lot of people die everyday.
Back to cricket - what could have been a truly disastrous day got salvaged for us due to those late strikes. Still think Australia are truly set to make 400+ which should be more than enough for us. Johnson and company would be waiting eagerly to take a bite at us soon. We don't yet have a Dravid who can score 233 and 72 odd runs and win this test match for us (like how he did in 2003 at this very same ground).
In my opinion, you are the most insensitive moron doing the rounds over here. You wouldn't call someone's death/loss a 'drama' if it was someone close to your heart. I hope, you never have to bear that sort of grief, because the pain can be extreme. It's very easy to ask people to 'move on' sitting at home on a keyboard with a screen in front, quite another to lose someone through such a freak accident and it takes any normal human with remotely any feelings or emotions to overcome such a tragedy. Perhaps, you're childish enough to believe that the people that represent their country and entertain us for decades, aren't actually a figment of imagination or virtual players you create on a Play Station. They're
humans.
I read a post of yours, where you state that the board is actually encouraging the players to fake this emotion to cash in on the series by creating more drama? I suggest, seriously recommend, that you get a better outlook towards life.
I don't know if you've ever played any form of serious cricket in life, but I have and I also know the kind camaraderie you begin to share with every individual in a dressing room. In a very short span of time, they become your family outside your family and sometimes, without realising they become a very integral part of your life. It's not expressed, but the emotion exists and it only comes out in purely jubilant moment, or very tragic ones.
Phil Hughes, was that family to all these guys. State Cricket is very pronounced in Australia and when these guys talk about the experiences they've shared, you can actually relate to it. Michael Clarke's face says the full story and the magnitude of this tragedy. I know, if I made a 50/100/63 or anything significant, and I had lost someone my own, I would dedicate everything to that person.
You have an opinion, I have one, I'm not asking you to be as emotional as some other fans or the other players, but you can be respectful by keeping your opinion to yourself at such a time and not be a jerk!
