India's tour of Australia - December/January 2015

banish Saha to the dungeons .. ugh

Inexperience of Saha there. He already got 10 runs and still goes for one more. Somebody needs to bat with Kohli if we want to win this.

Amazing test. Someone needs to block everything at one end and let Kohli do his thing.

I am off to bed ... it was fun while it lasted !! Goddamit Virat

Great innings Kohli, this is the coming of age of him in Test. Likewise Lyon, this will do him wonders going so well in the 4th innings.

The way we have played throughout the test match, I didn't think we deserve to lose today. Really disappointing

Lol the umpires were piss poor. India got a few rough decisions, on the other hand Kohli and Vijay should have dismissed for much cheaper as well. Amazing test match but Australia deserved to win just for their mental strength to play a test match so soon after such a tragic incident.

This is Virat Kohli's Chennai. This is 90's all over again.[DOUBLEPOST=1418456143][/DOUBLEPOST]We do not deserve player like Kohli. Seriously this team is worse than Zimbabwe without Kohli.

Ha, when I checked the score 3 hours ago with Vijay and Kohli at the crease going strong I thought the game was heading for a draw or maybe India had a slim chance of victory. What a turnaround and what a performance for Lyon! :clap

If only there was a way to correct that?

:rolleyes

Serves them right for being idiotically stubborn when it comes to DRS.

One of the best tests I've ever seen. 48 runs doesn't show just how close this was.

As an Indian fan, I knew that only Vijay, Kohli, and Rahane can actually deal with pressure, and Rahane failed on this occasion (wasn't actually out so I guess he didn't really fail?), so it just left the other two with just a little too much to do. Pujara doesn't have the stomach for a fight, unfortunately, as good as he can be when he's on song. Dhawan is a walking wicket, and I just have absolutely no trust whatsoever in Rohit Sharma. I won't lay any blame at Saha's feet even if that was an atrocious shot, because I think he was just overrawed by the experience, and got carried away. That can only be solved with more experience; experience that he is never going to get as long as Dhoni is around. Plus, Saha saved us so many runs while keeping; he was virtually perfect.

I think on the whole, it was a deserved victory for Australia. They were the better team. Just. But I hope that this gives India the belief that they can go that one step further in the tests to come, because I genuinely believe there is an opportunity here. However, I can also see a 4-0 whitewash.

And as for Kohli, well... wow... no words... on another planet.
