What a debut for Sai Sudharsan!!! 2 consecutive fifties on debut, and that too in an away series against South Africa! Might not be South Africa's best lineup, but still Sai is a debutant and is playing away!!!

Happy to see him having a crackling start in his international career! He is hugely rated by almost everyone in Indian cricket circles.

I have said this a lot of time in the forums and will say it again a lot of credit has to go to bowling coach Bharat Arun as soon he left you can see difference was evident in the bowling.

Obviously bowlers execution were top notch and Kohli's aggression fuelled that up which was exciting to watch the team picking up 20 wickets almost everytime.

Arun’s impact has been tangible but to suggest that our pace bowling will go back to those times seems like a big overreaction.

I’m surprised that we’ve gone with Ashwin at seven yet again when it was arguably a reason why we may have lost the series last time. They must have some big faith in KL keeping to make this decision. On the other hand I’m pleased to see Prasidh make his debut as he does deserve it.

Pleased to see that the Proteas haven’t gone with their silly idea of Jansen at seven, the new coach does seem like he’ll stick to his principles seriously with Markram continuing to open and Jansen not being considered as a number seven. Bedingham’s debut was long overdue and if he works out that may solve a big problem in their lineup.

Finally, Gill will be the big one to watch. He’s not been convincing for a while now and his opening spot is no longer open, pun not intended. Another poor series from him and his average may even dip below Crawley’s average at present which you wouldn’t have predicted a year or two ago.
