Bangladesh President's XI v West Indians - 3 day match - Dhaka

With conditions heavily in favour of spin the West Indies gave their spinners a long bowl in the Bangladesh President's XI 2nd innings.
Ramnarine took 5 wickets and Hooper 3 as the home side slumped to an innings and 177 run defeat.
Some gritty batting by the tail frustrated the West Indian bowlers but in the end victory was comfortable enough with 3 hours to spare.

West Indians won by an innings and 177 runs

Please choose an XI for the 1st Test v Bangladesh

Bangladesh v West Indies - 1st Test - Dhaka

Pitch: 19 -
Hard and bumpy, this wicket will always give the faster bowlers a chance. There is also the
prospect that it will not stand up to five (or even four) days play and batting could become a
nightmare in the later stages. It is doubtful that this wicket is really up to test standard.

Weather: 2 - Hot and Sunny

Injuries:
S.C.Williams - 1 match
C.E.Cuffy - 2 matches

Tea Day 2

India struggled against the Australian spinners scoring at below 2 per over in their first innings of 285.
The slow pitch frustrated the batsmen as much as the bowlers and it took an 89 run partnership between spinners Harbhajan Singh and Anil Kumble to haul India out of trouble.
Warne lead the way as the spinners took 8 wickets between them with MacGill making an impressive debut and Lehmann chipping in with the wicket of Tendulkar.

Warne made 76 and Gillespie 43 as the pair added 78.
Harbhajan impressed on debut as he and Kumble took 3 wickets apiece to give their side a 32 run first innings lead.

Thankyou for the squad, can you please choose an XI from those players for the following 4 day warmup match.

Pakistan A v New Zealanders - 4 day match - Peshawar

Pitch: 81 -
Some signs of grass around, there may be a little help for the quick bowlers early on. However
the groundsman believes that the wicket will play easily for most of the game but with
perhaps a little help for the spinners on the final day.

Weather : 2 - Hot and Sunny

Injuries: None.

India v Australia - 1st Test - Calcutta

Tendulkar and Ganguly lead the Indian batting in the 2nd innings as they added 108 for the 4th wicket.
Warne again bowled well but this time received little support enabling India to declare an hour into Day 5 when the lead passed 300.
Australia were set 301 to win in a minimum of 72 overs on a pitch set to speed up throughout the day.
A closely fought match was set for an interesting finish.

India v Australia - 1st Test - Calcutta

A brilliant century by Damien Martyn lit up the run chase as the 1st Test came to a dramatic conclusion.
In the end some tight death bowling by Venkatesh Prasad prevented Australia from claiming victory and they fell 2 short as the match was drawn.
Martyn added 126 with Ricky Ponting in the most entertaining batting of the match but in the end steady wickets ensured the Australians fell just short.

Please choose your XI's for the 2nd Test in Bangalore.

India v Australia - 2nd Test - Bangalore

Pitch: 89 -
Badly prepared wicket with both umpires and skippers already talking about preparing
written complaints that this is offered as a Test match surface. The pitch is dusty and
uneven and must surely help all types of bowler right from the stat. The match will go
ahead, but under protest.

Weather - 1 - Hot and Humid (favours swing)

Injuries:
S.R.Tendulkar - 1 match
