It is here - finally - alpha 0.1 released!!!!

Argh, the game is so good, but i'm unable to play it, even with the graphics on 'fastest'.

Here are my system specs,

1.73 GHz Pentium M Processor,
1GB RAM,
ATI Radeon X300,

It's also saying 286MHz on the 'System' bit under 'Control Panel', and I'm running Windows XP Service Pack 3 if it helps.

I'm guessing my system is really showing it's age with this game, so I might have to wait a few months before I can ask my parents to invest in a new laptop for my birthday.

Where did you find which file to replace what ? :p

Wow guys, absolutely outstanding effort. Also like the couple of Tendulkar shots that have been animated in.
One more thing, the length ball seems to far too often appear to bounce over the stumps instead of hitting the stumps. This seems a similar issue that was present in the recent Brian Lara cricket games. One positive of note is the physics off the pads and the various deliveries. As for the graphics, which were promised to be ████, they look pretty okay to me. Definitely playable. There is a reason people still play the original Brian Lara series of games and that is because it is all about the gameplay.

If the fielding is of similar standard to the batting and bowling, then I think we're in store for a superb game.

Agree completely

just played with the stuff it came with, and have a look!

Can we get the player model possibly :p

That looks stunning.

agree that the bounce is slightly high, I'm struggling with the timing but not so much that I cant stop playing this game! I was sceptical about playing with a mouse but to be honest it feels really natural! Love bowling with both characters! Feel it could turn a bit more with Warne but tbh it could just be me not getting it quite right. The swing is awesome, I got quite excited seeing the ball fly off the outside edge. I cannot for the life of me connect with a cover drive and all the leg glances and straight drives I do connect with I cant hit far. Still, I imagine I need more time to get used to the controls.

Ahh, i have fixed it now. My laptop doesn't like playing games if you don't have it plugged in to the mains power supply. Fixed it now and it runs very smoothly on the 'fastest' setting, which is nice and the controls aren't too hard.

Bowling wise, amazing, pretty easy to get used to the controls, and although i'm using a laptop, as i haven't got a full keyboard, but i've still had some fun. All 3 stumps out of the ground on one occasion, and i've had off and middle stumps cartwheeling individually a few times.

The batting i'm still struggling with, am i meant to aim the shot with the mouse and then press the space bar when you want to time it? I think this is how it works, but so far i'm struggling for timing. Also, how can we differ from the defensive shot into the covers, and a cover drive. I've played and missed a cover drive a couple of times.

Anyway, well done guys, being able to play the game at long last (however limited), is simply amazing, what you two guys have done is superb.

Oh by the way, when I point the mouse towards fine leg (for a sweep for example), the batsmen doesnt move before a shot noise occurs and the ball flies through the covers. Im sure this wont be a problem when all the shots are added but I thought I would mention it.

2 Bug i found. the stumps collision. at time the bails don't fall of until good 6-10 seconds.

Whilst bowling with pace, where ever i tried to pitch but the bowl is always pitch short. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm any help would be appriciated...

Everybody has already mentioned the positives so I'll just say what I thought could be improved.

- Graphics. But LM has already said that he intends to improve it countless times so no need to say anything more about this.
- Animation of the bowler's follow through. The actual action is terrific but the follow through seems a little disjointed from the action itself.
- Outfield speed. However, I think you already know about this.
- There should be a higher risk when bowling faster because you are putting strain on your body to bowl that much faster. I don't think the risk should be a no ball as it has been in past cricket games. I am not quite sure what it should be yet. Maybe I will come back to this later.

Will try to find more things to say as I play more. Only played for 5 minutes this time.

This is a great foundation- the batting and bowling animations are very good. Obviously, there are improvements to be made as listed above but it's great to have something we can actually play. How about giving Lee and Warne blonde hair. ;)

been playing this game for an hour now and its physics are truly amazing! just seeing the ball fly past the outside edge was a fantastic site for me... some of the shot animations were perfect! nothing beats a classic straight drive with abit of tendulker-esque!

Keep up the amazing work, can't wait to try out the Alpha 0.2 :thumbs

I have waited 4-5 yrs to get a hand at this game; and in short it was worth it

The game feels incredibly new and I can see all the hard work gone into it

Don't want to jinx it at all, but guys please keep working on it till its complete. Even if you release a light version it will be miles better then the other's.

I have no negatives to say except I suck at it right now :facepalm

Me too batting is amazing in this game. it takes time to get use to though. with fieldsman and wiki this game would be amazing. LM please make sure some sort of AI in involved in 0.2 version.
