Why did Yorkshire declare?! Good bowling by Kent here

Hoping to see Kent score at a quick rate

Because this game sucks eggs. Time wise, if they were scoring at a realistic rate thats about right for a declaration in a four day match for the 1st innings.

Kent v Yorkshire - Liverpool Victoria County Championship - Canterbury
Day 3 - 1st Session

With 2 days gone and only 1 innings complete, Kent will have to go at a lightening pace to get anything other than a draw out of this game. Walker and Fulton set about this task and within the hour Walker is celebrating his fifty.

Half an hour later and Fulton is doing the same. Both batsmen have been struggling for form and their place in the team has looked under threat so good innings from both is vital.

Yorkshire's only chance of the session comes just 10 minutes before lunch when (on 68) Fulton is dropped in the slips by Gale.

Kent make lunch without the loss of a wicket and have amassed a massive 175 runs in the session.

How did you know that he got dropped by Gale?
Probably zoomed in on the back of his shirt.

Good start from Kent, they need their openers to convert their scores into 100s.

Good presentation, nice and simple.

nice update cool presentation nice story to read KEv

Day 3 - 2nd Session

Walker and Fulton's stand continues for just 2 balls as Fulton is trapped LBW by McGrath.

The lunch break is slightly kinder to Walker as shortly afterwards he celebrates his century in just 105 balls, including 6 fours. Dispite the speed of the century Walker hasn't looked completely confident out there.

The next milestone is the 200 for Kent and Key brings up the total with a magnificent straight drive for four.

Walker and Key continue to build a partnership, but just after suffering a blow to the head and with the score on 237. Gillespie bags the key wicket of Walker for 128.

Both openers are now gone and Key is joined at the crease by van Jaarsveld. The pair are batting with confidence and Kent pass Yorkshire's total in the 53rd over, 70 overs faster than Yorkshire. 2 overs later Key is celebrating his fifty.

Kent make tea without the loss of further wickets and are 292/2.

How do you manage to bat so realisticly on this, Kev? I can't. I either score at a rate of about 20 an over, or get bowled out for about 100.
