Story Kent - A Cricket07 Story - Season Finished

Crikey! 84 runs in one session, they actually went out on a limb and hit the ball

Muchall isnt too far behind, Saggers this time covering an amazing amount of ground to take the catch.

It takes until 5:40 for the next wicket to fall. Patel gets his third, Kemp catches Ben Harmison as he goes for the slog.

Lowe goes on the attack next, hitting Tredwell for six, 3 times in one over. Key decides not to take Tredwell out of the attack just yet. It pays dividends as Scott is runout.

Its surely too late for Durham, but nobody has told Lowe as he smashes his way to his half century.

He doesnt get much further though as in the last over Saggers gets his third wicket of the match.

There are still four balls left but Saggers can't snatch victory from the jaws of a draw and the umpires call stumps with the score on 199/8.

Kent v Essex - C&G Trophy - Canterbury
1st Innings

Its a cool and overcast day and Rob Key looks gobsmacked when Essex win the toss and decide to bat first.

9th Over

Surprisingly the Kent bowlers aren't able to get much out of this green pitch and its not until Kemp is given the ball that they take their first wicket. Chopra edges to Jones for 21 and after a reasonable start Essex are 34/1.

15th Over

Kemp gets his second wicket, bowling Andy Flower for just 1 run as Essex slow to a crawl.

20th Over

Jefferson is next to go. Ferley gets his first wicket bowling around the wicket.

45th Over

The spectators are beginning to wonder if Essex have mistaken this for a four day game and its not until the 45th over that the next wicket falls. Saggers gets his first wicket as Grant Flower falls for 30.

46th Over

Kemp gets his third wicket as Cook is finally out for just 14 runs. Its taken him nearly 100 balls and he has hit just the one boundary.

49th Over

Saggers picks up Bichel for just one run.

Final Over

Amazingly, as Essex have 4 wickets in hand, Kemp bowls a maiden and Essex finish on a frankly pathetic 110/6.

Kev, I know a way to make the batters a bit more aggesive. Only bowl with one of the bowlers. So basically, you bowl with a bowler for one over and autoplay by 1 over the other bowlers. Then when the bowler you're controlling needs to come off, you control the bowler that you replaced him with...

Obviously won't help for the story cos you need the wicket pictures of all the bowlers... but just so you know yeah?

Finally! The opening partnership did a good job :D

Another easy win for Kent though.

Kev, lose on purpose to make it interesting :p

I think it's pretty much impossible to lose the AI is so poor

Did you see my 'more aggressive batsman' post?

It might not work all the time... but you could try doing 10 over written updates or something...

What gets on my nerves is that when I try to give the batsmen runs by bowling short and wide, I just get wickets instead!
