Glamorgan v Kent - C&G Trophy - Cardiff
1st Innings

Its a warm but overcast day in Cardiff as the toss in taken. Quite amazingly the pitch hasn't seen any rain for quite a while and Glamorgan waste no time in choosing to Bat first on this dust bowl.

25th Over

This match couldn't be further away from the fireworks of Kent's last match and its not until the 25th over, with the score on 29, that Kent take their first wicket. Cherry elects not to play a bowl from Stevens and the ball goes round behind his legs and the medium pacer grabs the opening wicket with delight.

w1mo3.jpg

Wickets are like buses, you wait 25 overs for one then two turn up at once. As later in the over Stevens removes Cosgrove without any score being added.

w2ju5.jpg

26th Over

Wickets are tumbling now and Ferley dismisses Powell for a duck.

w3on7.jpg

28th Over

Ferley gets his second wicket when he removes Boycott for 16. No wait, its McCullum!

w4yw5.jpg

Then Croft bags a first baller.

w5qu7.jpg

Wallace manages to survive the hat-trick ball.

34th Over

Saggers gets his first wicket when he bowls Hemp for just 5 runs.

w6ks3.jpg

37th Over

Joseph continues his good recent form with the ball and bowls hat-trick survivor Wallace, he didn't hang around long enough to make Kent pay and goes for just 1 run.

w7cz6.jpg

44th Over

Suddenly Glamorgan have woken up, unfortunatley they've lost all their batsman and Thomas manages to outshine most of his team mates before he is caught by Walker for 12 to give Hall his first wicket.

w8tv1.gif

Hall gets his second wicket in the same over, its another catch this time by Joseph

w9wy0.jpg

45th Over

Its all over in the 45th over and Glamorgan are all out for a miserable 100. Joseph takes the final wicket when ferley takes a catch in the deep.

Glamorgan v Kent - C&G Trophy - Cardiff
2nd Innings

3rd Over

Key and Hall once again open for Kent and with such a low total to aim for wont have to push very hard, so its somewhat against the script when in the third over Hall edges to McCullum.

w1ac8.jpg

11th Over

Kent are halfway to their target when Dexter prods a a ball he probably should have left alone and Harrison gets his second wicket.

w2qx5.jpg

Key is joined at the crease by Walker, who is back in the side after a couple of games out.

19th Over

Key looks determined to stay around for the whole innings and in the 19th over he reaches his fifty. Its not been spectacular, but its been exactly what Kent require.

key50jd7.jpg

25th Over

Needing only half their allotted overs Kent notch up an easy win. Key hitting the winning runs.

Durham v Kent - Liverpool Victoria County Championship - Chester-le-street
Day 1 - 1st Session

Its another overcast day but the pitch looks very dusty and Kent are very surprised when Durham win the toss and decide to bowl first. With two spinners in the squad, Kent will enjoy bowling last on this pitch.

Kent dont make the best of being put in first though and Key fails to continue his recent good form.

w1nl1.jpg

Hall replaces Key and doesn't look comfortable against this pace attack. Its no surprise when he falls for just 1 run.

w2hg9.jpg

Then without any score being added, Harmison gets his first wicket, bowling Walker for 10. Its as if Walker didnt react at all.

w3sv7.jpg

Kent are in a fair bit of bother now and are 29/3. Dexter and van Jaarsveld are charged with steadying the ship but Dexter is next to go, he gets himself in all sorts of trouble and its almost as if the ball traveled through his body.

w4bo9.jpg

van Jaarsveld and Kemp survive to the lunchbreak with the score on 64/4.

statste7.jpg

kent are going to well at the minuite they are gonna need to play better

lvcclogoot5.jpg

Durham v Kent - Liverpool Victoria County Championship - Chester-le-street
Day 1 - 2nd Session

Kemp and van Jaarsveld set about work on a Kent recovery and the pair soon reach their 50 partnership.

50part1sp8.jpg

The revival is halted briefly when Collingwood bowls Kemp for 31. Kemp will be gutted that he couldn't build on a good start.

w5ns6.gif

Jones joins van Jaarsveld at the crease and van Jaarsveld soon reaches his half century.

mvj50mb9.jpg

Jones is looking comfortable at the crease and the pair pass fifty, smashing some big shots in the process.

50part2mn3.jpg

A much better session for Kent ends with the score on 203/5.

lvcclogoot5.jpg

Durham v Kent - Liverpool Victoria County Championship - Chester-le-street
Day 1 - 3rd Session

Play resumes after tea and Geraint Jones reaches his half century.

gojo50fi1.jpg

Collingwood makes the breakthrough almost immediatley as Jones is trapped LBW.

w6hw1.jpg

The fall of Jones sees the runs dry up as Tredwell and van Jaarsveld grind out a small partnership. Its ended by Collingwood when Lewis takes a catch to remove Tredwell for 7.

w7zx3.jpg

Patel is next to fall, its an identical wicket to Tredwell's except bowler and catcher are reversed. van Jaarsveld is running out of partners.

w8fy3.jpg

Martin van Jaarsveld leaps for joy as he reaches his hundred. Its been a fantastic effort, possibly a match winning effort.

mvj100wi7.jpg

Collingwood is bowling the final over of the day and he gets an edge last ball of the over to dismiss Khan for 5 runs.

w9be8.jpg

Kent finish on 267/9 and the Durham faithful will be hoping Durham wrap up the innings in double quick time tomorrow morning.

statszr7.jpg

wow at collingwood! he's bowling like a demon and Harmison was very cheap. Jones' wicket was poor "i've seen better shots in a bar"
