Essex Innings 1st Over
Robbie Joseph opens the bowling for Kent and Pettini scores from just one ball making the score at the end of the over 4/0.
Essex Inings 2nd Over
Simon Cook bowls the second over and Ronnie Irani is not in a generous mood, hitting 2 balls to the boundary as the score rolls along to 13/0.
Essex Innings 3rd Over
Irani builds on an impressive start with 3 fours from the over. Essex move to 26 without loss.
Essex Innings 4th Over
Irani is really looking to demoralise Kent and he hits another boundary.
But his attack stops short and he is out for 28 off the bowling of Simon Cook.
Alistair Cook walks out to face Simon Cook and fails to add any further runs in the over. Its now 32/1.

Pettini smashes a huge six first ball of the over.
But Joseph completely fools him with a slower ball and its an easy catch. Pettini has gone for just 10 runs.

James Tredwell is thrown the ball and Gough promptly dispatches his first effort for six runs.
Darren Gough is lucky not to be out next ball, he skies the ball but it drops just short of Dexter. He rides his luck with another six later in the over to take the score to 74/2

Bopara replaces him at the crease and at the end of the over its 80/3. Bravo is certainly making things happen for Kent here.

Tredwell's spell is a short one and Tyron Henderson replaces him. Its not a great start as Ryan ten Doeschante hits a six.
Then Gough brings up his 50 with another six.
Followed by another. Its a bad over for Kent and the score is 137/4.

Bravo is at it again and he takes the wicket of Ryan ten Doeschante for just 10 runs. Just the one six for Gough this over and the score is now 147/5.

Gough opens the bowling for Essex and Dexter grabs a bye off the first ball to get Kent off the mark. Stevens follows up with 2 fours.
Kent make a bright start and are 12 for no wicket at the end of the first over.
Kent Innings 2nd Over
Bichel is bowling for Essex and his first ball goes for 4 wides, not the best of starts. There's a mix-up between Dexter and Stevens later in the over and stevens only just makes it home. The over finishes as it started, with a wide and the score is now 20/0.
Kent Innings 3rd Over
Gough's second over is a big improvement over his first with just 6 runs being scored. Four of which come from a Stevens boundary.
Kent Innings 4th Over
Dexter hits 2 fours from Bichel's bowling but Bichel gets his revenge and Dexter is out for 12! Martin van Jaarsveld walks out with Kent on 36/1.

Middlebrook continiues to frustrate the Kent attack though, and only singles are added this over. Kent are now on 103/3.

Second Semi Final - Surrey v Notts
The weather has taken a turn for the worse for the second semi-final and it looks like rain may be on the way.
Notts win the toss and decide to bat first.
They manage to post a score of 112 all out.
Surrey make easy work of the target and finish on 115/4.
So its Essex Eagles versus Surrey Brown Caps for the final under the lights.
