The Grizzlies (2019)

wQ2BRrMSKv57gzTyYNbrrN092KN.jpg

Inspiring story sad story with a somewhat happy ending... 8/10

Indian Horse (2018)

6PRmK9svHolvZ2CLNoBkmViYlrB.jpg

Man this movie was like a punch in the gut. A sad story about the dark chapter in Canada's history. 8/10

Canadian Bacon (1995)

ju95JVYXVIKOAssBjQ1IgoTjD4u.jpg

It's too real... too real... unfortunately in today's political climate this seems almost like a documentary... okay not really but it was fine for what it was 5/10

The Snow Walker (2003)

1UlHIWfqjkizc2qem0IPZBG6nn5.jpg

I was in a mood for watching more indigenous movies, especially made in Canada and this once again did not disappoint. Not as good as the other two i watched earlier but still pretty good 7/10

The Grand Seduction (2014)

jEmeM9BKYWaCxzX0nF6thqLl9zp.jpg

A decent enough movie to pass the time, nothing outstanding. 6/10

The Necessities of Life (Ce qu'il faut pour vivre) (2008)

4tPaeW7gv0AcuaUjfU03O9QeNrF.jpg

Man this one once again just broke my heart... a great movie 9/10

The Outsiders (1983)

pl8Tf36TAOb2i561yPbQ9xl4P4D.jpg

I was in two minds while watching this, on one had the movie was okay, but the acting was just great and saved the movie for me. 7/10

Paddington in Peru (2024)

1ffZAucqfvQu36x1C49XfOdjuOG.jpg

Having watched and loved the first two Paddington movies this one just didn't quite hit the mark. Not saying it was bad, just got as good as the first two. 7/10

10 Rillington Place (1971)

aQP2rSIciaeb2FGPeOQIWsCysts.jpg

Richard Attenborough and John Hurt, I mean that should be enough to get anyone to watch this movie. The fact they were able to film it at 10 Rillington Place as well just added to the vibe of the movie. 7/10

Hotel Rwanda (2004)

lOBsGSCBEZNdsiCNpoSG2S6xrdN.jpg

I saw a bit of this movie back in high school, but never seen the whole movie. It's still a great movie. 8/10

Ray (2004)

tSPC7sO2XYNL9QcMmK88tuUALL5.jpg

An icon in the music business. This movie was better than I was expecting. 8/10

Snake Eyes (1998)

kdcLZmZdEWeuqJ4ed68CL7Bcd2R.jpg

The first 15 minutes were glorious. Just watching Nic Cage being his Nic Cagiest. The rest of the movie is where this falls short. 6/10

I Am Mother (2019)

ayPSqlpYIbeq1RiDekx6W9WUqrL.jpg

The concept and idea of the movie were better than the execution. I mean it still works I just was left with more questions than answers. 6/10

Cube (1997)

cRp5XzTdXs2BdvL4MF19HPP831z.jpg

Much better than I was expecting. I may check out the sequels as well sometime 7/10

Dirty Dancing (1987)

9Jw6jys7q9gjzVX5zm1z0gC8gY9.jpg

I've had this on my watchlist for a long time. It was worth a watch but nothing more than a generic love story in my opinion. 8/10

Poor Things (2023)

kCGlIMHnOm8JPXq3rXM6c5wMxcT.jpg

Finally got around to this and it was interesting. I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it either. It was just fine. 7/10

Hamilton (2020)

h1B7tW0t399VDjAcWJh8m87469b.jpg

It's been years since I've been to a musical, this made me want to watch more live. 8/10

The Shape of Water (2017)

9zfwPffUXpBrEP26yp0q1ckXDcj.jpg

I mean who amongst us hasn't wanted to be with a mermaid.... right... right.... Anyways movie was really good. 8/10

Black Christmas (1974)

5K8GhYPPt7LlKJv4BYBxSyqq9FD.jpg

Another Canadian movie and what some consider to be the first Slasher movie. Also the origin of the trope of the caller/killer being inside of the house not to mention a young Lois Lane (Margot Kidder). It was much better than I was expecting. 8/10

Oblivion (2013)

eO3r38fwnhb58M1YgcjQBd3VNcp.jpg

I put this on in the background while working and this just was boring... It was just a generic Tom Cruise action movie and not a very good one. 3/10

Logan's Run (1976)

v3ILN8ROPcrNRJ8S7GH24JyihH8.jpg

Another movie that I find conflicting, while the idea and concept behind it are good and decent, the execution was just okay. This is a movie I can see someone doing a sequel set even more in the future to see what would happen in the aftermath of the movie.. like is said good idea and concept just movie was okay... 7/10

Spotlight (2015)

olYvlO7lZLpUM62w1LYnAgdd6CD.jpg

After watching this, I was looking at other peoples reviews of this and found someone said they didn't like this because none of the characters in the movie were interesting. I felt the exact opposite, I liked this movie because the characters weren't interesting, it didn't take away from the plot and the the story which was the main focus of this movie. 8/10

Companion (2025)

oCoTgC3UyWGfyQ9thE10ulWR7bn.jpg

It was fine... nothing new or great... just fine.. 4/10

My Bodyguard (1980)

agk3tSS6OLiSdyrieDhPpuQ7CEZ.jpg

It was much better than I was expecting... I didn't expect much so i'm glad with what i got 5/10

St. Elmo's Fire (1985)

9yFDYxV0LWDtc7VyuaZ36uB9FOy.jpg

I didn't get it in the beginning to the point I almost considered turning it off and just watching it another time. I'm glad I stuck with it this story about a group of friends who just recently graduated from college. 7/10

Cinderella Man (2005)

wkeOjIcpuqLMW4GnVowlM9VI0JE.jpg

Based on a true story this was pretty good. I mean it's no Rocky (even though this is more a Rocky story than any Rocky sequel after 2) this was a good enough watch 7/10

The Warriors (1979)

fCDXAJcPvpsMd5CL1kBKkkNGW3X.jpg

Nothing about this movie should've worked in 1979 let alone in 2025 but man this just works somehow.. 8/10

The Negotiator (1998)

dUMHEymATOGbs2K3E4dmNSVBgFQ.jpg

It was your a better than average action movie 7/10

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (2024)

d8Ryb8AunYAuycVKDp5HpdWPKgC.jpg

I just watched it because i'd seen the first two... i liked it more than i did 2... it was just fine 5/10

The Wicker Man (1973)

wwtrXRL8SiOWxhwLEvw7iBgYh0g.jpg

I had never seen the original nor the Nic Cage remake before, i do know about the bees.... This was much better than I was expecting. 7/10

Life Is Beautiful (La vita è bella) (1997)

74hLDKjD5aGYOotO6esUVaeISa2.jpg

If you look at almost any greatest movies of all time list, this is usually up at the top and I can see why. If this movie does not make you feel anything I don't know what to say. Highly Highly recommend to anyone that hasn't seen it 9.5/10

The Offence (1973)

uRJeWw7XW5TVuzfvCpGqUSO19Dm.jpg

Sean Connery plays the part perfectly... the movie itself may not be everybody's cup of tea but it was still worth it for performances of Sean Connery and Ian Bannen 6/10

Blue Steel (1990)

mPUrodB3k8NYcvr4WPwtjSe1Mv9.jpg

A movie which the idea was better than the execution. I really liked the plot of the movie, but for whatever reason this didn't work... which is too bad I wish considering after this movie the director went on the make Point Break which was infinitely better (she also made The Hurt Locker and Zero Dark Thirty which i haven't seen yet). 5/10

The Sting (1973)

ckmYng37zey8INYf6d10cVgIG93.jpg

The only negative thing I could say about this is, sometimes the music doesn't match the movie but I could tell why it was used... other than that this movie was fantastic. 8/10

Room (2015)

pCURNjeomWbMSdiP64gj8NVVHTQ.jpg

If there ever was an Oscar-bait movie this would be one of them.. I'm not saying that as a bad thing because this movie was good 8/10

My Friend Dahmer (2017)

c6HoPIBcRv9l2tPB8hbivq71Nw.jpg

Almost like an origin story for one of the worst serial killers of all time, it was a pretty good movie.. 7/10

Superbad (2007)

ek8e8txUyUwd2BNqj6lFEerJfbq.jpg

Man, this movie holds up so well.... It was the movie that everyone in high school was quoting all the time and it still holds up.. I haven't laughed as much at a movie in years... 9/10

Possession (1981)

k2nVjEnMF0ZVE0V8x5WZQw231FF.jpg

Weird and Intense are the only two ways I can think of to describe this movie... It's definitely not a movie I will soon forget let's just put it that way especially that scene (if you've seen it then you know what i'm talking about). 6/10

To Live and Die in L.A. (1985)

2iW3pSihBIhXjnBQmUJ0mAiZbB5.jpg

Another odd one, I've heard nothing but great things about this movie and yeah it was good... but was it great... maybe it just wasn't for me.. 6/10

Captain America: Brave New World (2025)

pzIddUEMWhWzfvLI3TwxUG2wGoi.jpg

Really had no interest to watch this, i figured i'll watch it anyways just to stay updated on the MCU... it was fine... 4/10

Welcome to Mooseport (2004)

lpaaUiaSZiW8YUoKA17RkV84mAW.jpg

I watched this a few days after the news about Gene Hackman came out. I remember when this came out people hated it because it was Gene Hackman's final film.. and yes while it's not ideal for Hackman who had a fantastic career ending it with a generic comedy wasn't the best way to end his career... this movie wasn't all bad, had a few decent laughs... 4/10

Bros (2022)

6iFBzZ3LjmlE83pHok03Z9QPkAB.jpg

It was just a mediocre rom-com.. nothing great, nothing bad... 5/10

Sicario (2015)

lz8vNyXeidqqOdJW9ZjnDAMb5Vr.jpg

I'm still trying to remember why I didn't watch this when it first came out. It was such a good movie... I really enjoyed it.. 8/10

Greatest Days (2023)

xCPAatRJPqZi1gGJliExFb6BK6G.jpg

It starts out as a generic musical but man it hits you near the end like a punch in the gut... 7/10

Monster (2003)

aevmNtJCNG4ZlfEeEGZ79frMUes.jpg

Wow.. just wow... Charlize Theron was fantastic... 8/10

Boston Strangler (2023)

oZJfw78ZyPmgNJ0YJ8070nKEF4Y.jpg

Based on a true story.. this movie was just okay... 6/10

American Pie (1999)

5P68by2Thn8wHAziyWGEw2O7hco.jpg

After I had such a great time watching Superbad, I wanted to go back and watch the other movie was popular in high school which was the American Pie series.. and while this did not make me laugh as much it was still better than I was expecting... 6/10

American Pie 2 (2001)

854ZZxXdeabAs90mrV72NqShJqR.jpg

Since I watched 1, i figured i'll watch the rest to remind myself... this was probably my least favourite of the bunch... 3/10

American Wedding (2003)

pCO3lJv2PzPkJty29APxCVSjyoE.jpg

This was surprisingly better than I remembered 6/10

American Reunion (2012)

de5QBIdVR4dnkBZ4a0zjkS4lTg.jpg

This one was also just okay 4/10

Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer (1986)

diVMzTarVLgjc3jyODyhZMadfwD.jpg

And now for something completely different... partially based on a true story Michael Rooker was fantastic as Henry.. 8/10

This Is Spinal Tap (1984)

z2LA8eBTSuuPC4NBhIZRNIwpimH.jpg

This movie had been in my watchlist for years... and it just wasn't for me... I chuckled at a few jokes here and there but I just never got into it... 4/10

The Beyond (1981)

luLcQdNqaIHRNMRuPgFN68v2Iux.jpg

I don't know how I feel about this.. the special effects this movie used are so much better than any CGI that's used today so i'll have to give it props for that... other than that the characters were just so stupid I don't know... I enjoyed the movie for what it was but the story wasn't the best.... so yeah i'm conflicted ... 6/10

Shaun of the Dead (2004)

dgXPhzNJH8HFTBjXPB177yNx6RI.jpg

Do i even need to say much about this? If you haven't seen it watch it.. this was like my 10th time watching this and it's still fantastic.. 9/10

Lady Vengeance (2005)

7F7Ozn0QpqkVvuv1kC2XpbuFvn9.jpg

This is part of director Park Chan-wook's Vengeance Trilogy and while I haven't seen Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance.. I have seen Oldboy and it is one of my favourite movies of all time this was good.. but not as good as Oldboy which to be fair is a pretty high bar... 8/10

Anora (2024)

7MrgIUeq0DD2iF7GR6wqJfYZNeC.jpg

I mean... it was fine... was it best picture worthy... personally not for me but I can see why it won... 6/10

It's a Wonderful Life (1946)

bSqt9rhDZx1Q7UZ86dBPKdNomp2.jpg

Terms of Endearment (1983)

l77DRjJuykqKMtD9GTK4YT7qKHW.jpg

I had always heard about this movie, but had never seen it... it was so good... 8/10

Red Rooms (Les chambres rouges) (2023)

wyVtWLItC0tHFSM1UqLL45hf7Rk.jpg

I don't have words to describe this movie it just needs to be seen 9/10

The Royal Tenenbaums (2001)

syaECBy6irxSgeF0m5ltGPNTWXL.jpg

Maybe I'm just not a fan of Wes Anderson... this is the third Wes Anderson movie I've seen and while all of them were good I just didn't think they were all as good as everyone says they were... 7/10

The Host (2006)

dEDLY3KeghKFzks5nTDWdigVikr.jpg

I've heard it be called of the best monster movies of all time.. I mean okay... I thought it was just okay... 6/10

Goodnight Mommy (Ich seh, Ich seh) (2015)

2qGRjDPpai1J2DBrs2Cwqm9fIx9.jpg

Now this is a movie that caught be off-guard... 8/10

Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977)

yaPx3cK9zGFX3SbcKwxWM1QIbUh.jpg

Just like the previous movie, I had an image in my mind about this movie and once again I was totally wrong. This movie just didn't do it for me, I don't know what I was expecting, but it just wasn't this. 3/10

Pleasantville (1998)

m1hhYP6OScjKU5Z9iZaWirSn4I6.jpg

A co-worker had recommended this movie to me, it was pretty good while it didn't make total sense if you think about it for more than a few minutes but it was still good. 7/10

The Return (2024)

xSj6EbdwHs3MFT2tRj9L3I7TE5j.jpg

Based on the story of Odysseus, this was fine nothing great but not boring either... 5/10

Road House (1989)

r2hGyhvNneAifk7UpwAYxrkeFO4.jpg

After watching Footloose and being pleasantly surprised by it, I gave this a shot, but this was exactly how I expected it to be.. it was pretty decent, but nothing outstanding ... 7/10

Carrie (1976)

uc3OvgmbnYaS5Y0BOjSmC1EmSz1.jpg

Once again, another one I was pleasantly surprised by, really enjoyed it 7/10

Mystery Men (1999)

ciVSbFmDecOIwlxl9F6GhHVgCVJ.jpg

The same co-worker that had recommended Pleasantville recommended this to me, while the movie i feel was ahead of it's time and had a few good laughs overall i found not that enjoyable... 5/10

Death of a Unicorn (2025)

lXR32JepFwD1UHkplWqtBP1K79z.jpg

Wife wanted to watch something in the theaters and this was the only decent thing at the nearest theater to us. Movie itself was okay but still enjoyable 6/10

Rashomon (1950)

vL7Xw04nFMHwnvXRFCmYYAzMUvY.jpg

Wow, this movie was fantastic. I'd had this in my watchlist for a while and this was worth the wait... 9/10

Citizen X (1995)

mr3lIjSRhXGVP2o9HY3P9PX2KsH.jpg

Based on the real life story of a serial killer this movie was great! 8/10

Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017)

vgvw6w1CtcFkuXXn004S5wQsHRl.jpg

This is the third Martin McDonagh I've seen and I've loved all three. While this might not my favourite of the three it was still well worth a watch 8/10

Gone Baby Gone (2007)

wZR1dvctqODqNGv6LJBEj6DQ2zK.jpg

I try to go into movies I haven't seen and that have been recommended to me as blind as possible, and I was not expecting this story at all. It kept my attention throughout. 8/10

Sinners (2025)

jYfMTSiFFK7ffbY2lay4zyvTkEk.jpg

This movie must be watched in theaters if for nothing else just to enjoy that one segment with the music... overall the story was fine, but I really enjoyed the movie experience 8/10

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003)

qJ9Cw1J4EmhBApoue4qlhqVrCZ7.jpg

I'd heard the remake was just as good as the original, I enjoyed this almost as much as the original... maybe slightly less 6/10

Falling Down (1993)

7ujqyF96Zg3rfrsh9M0cEF0Yzqj.jpg

I mean... I get it... we all have these feelings, but watching someone just act on it was unhinged.. this was a great movie other than Phone Booth this might be my favourite Schumacher movie 8/10

Mickey 17 (2025)

edKpE9B5qN3e559OuMCLZdW1iBZ.jpg

Almost everything I've seen from director Bong Joon Ho I've enjoyed, so I had very very high expectations for this.... while it did not meet my very high expectations this was still a good movie. 7/10

The Boondock Saints (1999)

oCPwq7TVk8XZWDv1ErxyuR6Sn5n.jpg

This movie could've been an all time great, it had all the elements... but somehow it just missed the mark... i enjoyed elements of the movie but overall it just didn't work... 5/10

Drop (2025)

dS2S5lpfgRIRQOb7LDCjNsQqKjp.jpg

I tried to watch this twice and I couldn't finish it, it was so bad I had a physical hatred to it and I usually love so bad they're good movies.

Can't believe this dropped a month ago and I wasn't aware

Tron Legacy holds a very special place in my heart. I have not seen the first movie. Hopefully this one doesn't ruin the "legacy" of the franchise. A little worried with the cast but let's see how it goes.

IMO, Tron Legacy is a perfect example of an underrated movie. Got chills when I watched it.
