Last Movie You Watched

Re-watched Team America: World Police

What a movie. The purposefully bad puppetry just works so well because the point of the movie is actually so relevant. Taking digs at everything from N.Korea to America's big brother behaviour to the overly liberal Hollywood to Islamic extremists. Hilarious through and through

Durka durka durka

Insurgent 6.5/10

Not as good as the first one but still decent.

Yeah wasn't too bad, watched it last night. Sequels are rarely better than the first but it had a good story to it. Would give it a solid 7.

Also Allegiant out in 2016 for the third installment. See how that one goes.

Piku awesome brilliant amazing just loved it

Hachi: A dog's tale

The story is very mainstream.. didn't like it at the beginning, but the ending was good. overall I'd not mind rating it a 6 on a scale of 10.

Insurgent.

Liked it, the movie was decent. But the first part was way better. 7/10

Ant man.

Great movie, enjoyed it right until the ending. 8/10

Watched three movies this weekend

Hector and the Search For Happiness: 7/10 - Simon Pegg, Rosamund Pike

Fun movie; felt like a poor man's 'Secret Life of Walter Mitty' which happens to be one of my favourite films.

While We're Young: 6/10 - Ben Stiller, Amanda Seyfried, Naomi Watts

Serviceable; nothing too flash but definitely has its moments

The Loft: 5/10 - Karl Urban, James Marsden, Isabel Lucas

Thriller that tries way too hard. Terribly unsatisfying ending to a near 2hr film.

Mad Max: Fury Road - Tom Hardy, Charlize Theron, Nicholas Hoult

Two hour extravaganza of endless in your face action sequences. Awesome first half; second half drags a little.

The Babadook (2014) - Essie Davis, Noah Wiseman

Australian horror film that grabbed my attention early but fizzled out towards the end. Thought the acting from the two main characters was excellent, but the ending of the film did not live up to the build up and left way too many questions unanswered.

How about a top 10 or 20 in genres of film where people vote or put their suggestions forward

Might be fun if someone wanted to put it together?

I would love to participate. But no patience to carry it out :P

Not a bad idea, you could easily get people to nominate their favourite 2-3 movies from each genre and then draw up a knockout bracket for people to vote on each match up.

True Story (2015) - Drama/Thriller starring Jonah Hill, James Franco

Based on the true story of Christian Longo who was convicted for murdering his wife and three children in 2001. Been waiting months and months for this film and whilst it didn't entirely meet my expectations it was an enthralling insight into the mind of a murderer that kept me interested throughout.
