I saw that Sight & Sound (a well-respected film journal in the UK) said: “In all its breathlessly over-the-top absurdity, this self-knowing, self-consuming artefact serves up more fun – and more fin – than the original.”
The director has made some really good films so I'm kind of interested by Meg 2. Certainly more interested than Meg 1.

I think we can ignore what NMA thinks about movies or shows. He thinks Justice league is a masterpiece.

It’s so clearly going to be the one of those movies that critics don’t rate at all because they’ve seen hundreds of movies like this for a living and nothing makes them excited about it objectively while the audiences like it because it’s just dumb fun with a cool hero kicking arse. It’ll also make enough money that leaves future critics and people surprised it made this much without looking into the broader why but it won’t make enough to generate the profit that justified all the investment in making it in the first place.

Well, binned off the cricket cause of the rain (both wash outs). Managed to convince my mate to go see Barbie. We both thought it was great. Very funny, very thoughtful and so well written and directed.
Highly recommend to everyone (except to @Na Maloom Afraad cause he might not like the joke at expense of Justice League enjoyers)
Hopefully see Oppenheimer soon too.

I watched 'Incredible But True' a French film about a couple who move into a house with a time portal in the basement and a friend who has an electronic penis.

The Social Network (2010): 10/10. I wasn't expecting it to be this entertaining and fast-paced. David Fincher is a master at his craft. And the background score is fantastic. Only criticism I had was Jesse Eisenberg giving some actual emotional depth to the robot known as Mark Zuckerberg these days. Well, now I need to see why it didn't win Best Picture at Oscars.

It's that time again.
I enjoyed it for what it was. I didn't think it was amazing or anything but for what it was I enjoyed the animation style and the story. 7/10
I enjoyed this more than I was expecting to. I've heard about this movie for years, but have never really been interested in watching it since I thought the subject matter was icky, but I ended up giving it a watch and liked it more than I was expecting. 7/10
There was a period a few years ago when DC was producing the best animated movies. That time has long since passed, this was just okay. I didn't hate it, I didn't like it. 4/10
Now I don't remember why I added this movie to my watchlist, but boy I'm glad that I did. It was fantastic the acting especially from Gloria Swanson as Norma Desmond, one of the best performances I have ever seen. 9/10 highly recommended for anyone to watch
Another movie that had been in my watchlist for a while. Even though the gravity in the universe made no sense the movie itself was good. 8/10

I've always heard the book was great, but never really looked into it. I keep hearing they want to ban this book from school's and I never understood why and then I watched the movie and I get it now. It's an amazing movie and look into the systematic racism that used or in some cases still exists in the American South. Highly recommended 10/10

I added this movie to my watchlist after Loretta Lynn passed away. This movie was great and really shows you her life and her story. 8/10
This might be a little biased review as I have always been a big Blue Beetle fan and I really enjoyed seeing him finally on the big screen. George Lopez was as annoying as I was expecting based on the trailers of the movie so that didn't hurt and overall I enjoyed the movie. 7/10
The Odd Couple architype might be a little overplayed these days, but I still enjoyed the original movie. This is another movie I have been wanting to watch for a while and it was still good and holds up in 2023. 6/10

Based on the true story of the mutiny of the H.M.S Bounty, from everything I've heard and read this is the most accurate portrayal of events of the movie which a few exceptions. I really liked it 8/10
This was a movie, that I didn't remember if I had seen before or if it was my first time watching it. Most of the scenes felt so familiar that I'd seen, but others felt like I'd never seen them before. Overall it was a decent enough movie. 7/10
This was recently recommended to me by a coworker, so I decided to watch it. I enjoyed it for what it was, the songs were great and the story was fun. 7/10

I just watched it randomly out of curiosity, since it had a high rating on Imdb and I never watched a very old classic movie before. And turns out, it was really good. The dialogue was engaging, all the characters were brilliantly written and the plot was equally engaging. For a movie about 12 strangers talking in a room, it was a great watch.
