I remember the good old days of Gladstone Small, Devon Malcolm, Chris Lewis. Phil DeFreitas as well. Seemed England have moved back to South Africans instead ;)

2) David Warner's just been dropped from the ODI squad, and it's about time the selectors noticed the struggle he's had to build an innings in ODIs. Plenty of options about anyway with Finch, Marsh, Hughes, Watson - that's 4 openers right there without Warner needed.

Indeed, he's been very lucky to stay there for this long. Still have my doubts on Marsh's strike rate. We can only hope Finch can take his chances this time round.

Good to see that Morgan's scoring runs and Rankin's taking wickets to make sure that the Irish don't have it all their own way.

Ravi Bopara finally getting his maiden ODI century. Thoroughly deserved, as he has been the most consistent player for England in ODI's recently. Morgan finding some form, good on him.

The partnership though, wow. To score 200 odd runs at over 8 an over. The game really was out of England's hand before this stand.
