SANTA CRUZ SNUBS THE REDS.​

Blackburn Rovers striker Roque Santa Cruz has decided to turn down Kieron Tierney's contract offer insisting he wants to stay at the club until he retieres. Here is what Santa Cruz had to say,
"I am very happy at Blackburn and I don't think Kieron Tierney is the right man to take me forward in my career. I also don't ever want to leave Blackburn as the players are friendly and they help me to learn the difference between the Bundesliga and the Premiership, the only thing that will make me leave the club is when I call an end to my career in about ten years time."

MANCHESTER UNITED SNAP UP LIÉDSON​

Kieron Tierney has made his first signing of the summer after buying Liédson for £7.5 million. It appears Kieron Tierney was on the hunt for a striker after a failed attempt to buy Roque Santa Cruz from Blackburn Rovers. Here is what Kieron Tierney had to say (or not).
"I don't know what so say to be honest. I feel Liédson will be a great addition to the squad. I was watching him at Sporting Lisbon and he looked like a Manchester United player. It was a shame about Roque (Santa Cruz) but I wouldn't give up."

L: Thank you and I would just like to say I am grateful that Mr Tierney has brought me to this fantastic club.
KT: Roque Santa Cruz is the reason your here as I tried to sign him but he turned down my contract. Anyway onto the questions.
BB: How do you feel coming to such a big club like Manchester United?

L: I feel delighted, nervous, worried what impact i'm going to make here.
Yes, I feel that this could boost my career and my reputation.
I have faith in Mr Tierney and I think he can teach me a lot about the English game as I know it is a lot different than the Portugese league.
My ambition is to become a Champions League winner and I feel Manchester can be the club to fulfil those dreams.
That's an easy one, Madonna, I love her 4 Minutes single.
I would feel most comfortable in the middle of a front three and I will be able to do that with Tevez and Rooney.
I would consider it.
I feel that it will take a few months to settle in Manchester as it a different city to Lisbon.
I feel that if I can play well I can break into Dunga's Brazil side with my fellow Brazilian Anderson who I know very well after playing against him for Sporting.
I would choose a nice bargain bucket from KFC.

L: Like I said, it will take a few months to settle in as I live in a new country.
Of course I can score goals, why would I be a striker if I felt I couldn't score?
