The Indian bowlers had a monumental task in hand of restricting Pakistan within a relatively low total of 260, and the job was made even more difficult by the onslaught of the Pakistani openers who were at one stage going for seven runs an over. From that stage, holding your nerves tight and scything through the lineup with some mediocre bowlers at whom people lob verbal grenades everyday is not something that happens regularly. The Pakistani batsmen did play bad shots, but that doesn't eclipse the fact that Indian bowlers, who had conceded 300+ or close to 300 runs in almost all the previous matches against big teams, were excellent today, whether in terms of line, length or accuracy.
