Story Mission 'Invincible India', [CC07], [IND vs. ENG 1st ODI Complete]

Some good batting and bowling through both teams.

Hoggard and Flintoff bowled well for England, while Laxman played a superb knock for India.

And the tail enders played some wonderful knocks. Rohit Sharma making 49 and Pathan both fought hard

Perfectly summarized Roo :)

India vs. England 1st Test (Day 3/5)
Sreesanth's four makes day 4 a decider (scorecard)

Sreesanth broke English batting's backbone taking wickets of the century maker Cook, and in form Pietersen and Vaughan. He also got the key wicket of Flintoff. Among the other bowlers Zaheer Khan bowled excellent line and length and reaped the rewards as he got 3 wickets. Pathan and Harbhajan got a wicket apiece. Kumble proved to be expensive giving 53 runs of his 10 overs.

Cook made a fine century guiding England to a good total after securing a 5 run 1st inning lead earlier in the day. Cook also got support of Vaughan with whom he shared a 100+ partnership. That partnership ensured that England were in a steady position. Pietersen continued his superb form and scored a solid 57. At the end of the day, England lead by 313 runs having lost 9 wickets.

* England 2nd innings

Moving nicley ahead with story. Cheers Bro.

A nice knock there by England but they could still do with an extra fifty I would guess. Let's see what happens in the next update. All I can say is if it is anything like the last one it will be of the highest quality :)

India vs. England 1st Test (Day 4 & 5 /5)
Ganguly's unbeaten 111 helps India defeat England (scorecard)

p8c.jpg

Ganguly scored a sublime 111* as India beat England in the 1st test by 6 wickets. Ganguly came to the rescue when India was reeling 138/4. Ganguly was timing the ball nicely from the beginning of his inning which included 17 fours and a massive six over long-on off the bowling of Giles. Earlier, Dhoni who opened the inning set the tone scoring 58 off just 64 balls. Rohit Sharma played the anchors role scoring a gritty 94 off 207 balls which held the inning together. In the end India chased down 320 comfortably.

English bowlers did not impress much. Hoggard and Anderson took 2 wickets each while Flintoff and Giles picked up a wicket apiece. Harmison was underused as he bowled only 10 overs giving away 38 runs.

Man of the Match:
K. Pietersen.

Highlights:

* India 2nd innings

* 2nd Wicket: 50 runs in 81 balls (Sharma 13, Dhoni 37, Extras 1)

* Dhoni 50: 56 balls, 89 minutes (9 x 4's, 1 x 6's)

* Lunch: India 112/3 after 28.0 overs (Sharma 30, Dravid 5)

* Sharma 50: 99 balls, 167 minutes (9 x 4's, 0 x 6's)

* 5th Wicket: 50 runs in 67 balls (Sharma 13, Ganguly 38, Extras 0)

* Tea: India 204/4 after 56.0 overs (Sharma 64, Ganguly 45)

* Ganguly 50: 65 balls, 99 minutes (8 x 4's, 1 x 6's)

* 5th Wicket: 100 runs in 179 balls (Sharma 35, Ganguly 64, Extras 3)

* New Ball Taken: India 286/5 after 80.0 overs (Pathan 4, Ganguly 92)

* Ganguly 100: 154 balls, 238 minutes (15 x 4's, 1 x 6's)

* End of Day: India 307/6 after 87.0 overs (Kumble 1, Ganguly 100)

It is most likely that Tendulkar will replace Dravid in the next game considering the coach's comment that only 3 off the big 4 will play in every test match. The coach is also reconsidering his strategy to play 5 bowlers, which means that we may see Yuvraj in the 2nd Test.

well played by dada .... great win for the indians....i loved ur presentation....the way u are making scorecards with a link is great superb work....KUTGW

England played well though. End of a very exciting test match. This series promises to be a very close one. Had England's bowling been a tad more penetrative the result would have been different. :)

It just makes no sense in playing only 3 of the four fantastic biggies. Someone has to tell the coach that it's a test match where you need more and more experience especially in a abroad tour. Dropping Dravid in England and playing Yuvraj instead is just a poor decision when comes to tests.

Good luck though in next game. :thumbs

No, Dravid will be replaced by Sachin, while Yuvi may replace one of the bowlers. Yvraj's inclusion is not a certainty though.
