Mitch Johnson will pip Wasim Akram and become most successful left-arm bowler - Waqar Younis

This is ridiculous, Wasim Akram is miles ahead of Mitch and will always be.

Did you not read the article? Waqar thinks that he can cross Wasim's wicket tally. Waqar himself admitted that nobody is better than Wasim.

They are different bowlers, the only thing they have in common is the arm they release the ball from. They are as different as two right arm bowlers can be, like McGrath and Lee.

I know, I was just referring it to users comments here who are taking Waqar's comment out of line.

They just discussed this on the Cricket Show. It's more about who is more prolific, and strike rates say Mitch.

But Wasim will most likely always be better, unless Mitch becomes really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really good

really? lol

Once Mitch plays some more cricket in the Subcontinent that strike rate will just get higher and higher.

He was pretty good last year in 2008. Our best bowler in India i fact, so there's hope for him.

Well Brett Lee at least had a terrific first few years in test cricket where his average was below 20 and didnt rise for awhile. then he had a shocker of an Ashes in 2001 and really shouldve been dropped, ever since then his average has risen and risen, we really cant afford to have another leading fast bowler averaging 30+, because we dont have the support that Lee had in McGrath and Gillespie who both had under 25 averages for long parts of their career. Johnson hasnt shown that will be anything other than a 27 or 28 average type bowler.

You would expect Siddle's average to drop quite a bit over the next 12 years, he's a pretty good bowler, and he can bowl well on flat surfaces.
