Mohammad Asifs "B" sample positive for steroids

Lol I thought 7m USD, I don't think Shoaib has that much money in his bank account :p

But why the heck is PCB asking so much money from him? It just proves how greedy these Asian Cricket boards can get!

Because they're the PCB. Anyway according to XE 7 million rupees is 100k AUD, which isn't too much for a cricketer, though it is high for a fine.

I believe he has already paid a lot of fines before but I am not sure if this one is for Drugs or match fixing.

Does he get a life-ban now ? I hope he does.It might teach him something valuable.

I don't think no punishment has been set as yet. I believe he is suspended pending the enquiry.

Should they choose to punish him,he ought to be banned. This is his second offence. If the PCB doesnt, the ICC+WADA should take matters into their own hands.

There are still various technical loopholes which Asif can get through (assuming that the difference of 1.8 is nothing, which I've still seen evidence which defys that)

One is that is the IPL under the ICC's jurisdiction? The Champions League organizers have convinced the ICC that the Champions League has nothing to do with the ICC, and then theres the Stanford games coming up which Digicel have sued over I believe, since they don't get the rights for them.

I'm sure Asif can be banned from the IPL, but can he be banned from world cricket? One thing that could happen is WADA bans him (since I believe they tested the pee pee) from all competitions which are WADA complacent or are signatories of WADA, and the ICC being one, would have to enforce that (as well as PCB I believe)

This would probably lead Asif to going to the ICL, which I doubt drug tests...

is that a big enough difference?

According to WADA yes it is big enough to prove him innocent but Practically it is normal in Hospitals.
