Mohnish Parmar- the new spinning sensation?

Mohnish Parmar is India's new find in the spinning department. Some say he's India's Murli, some say he's a chucker. He has a mystery action a bit like Murli's, bowls tricky doosras, picks up wickets at regular intervals and has been this years Ranji's third highest wicket taker with more than 35 wickets in just 8 matches.. His current average is just 17.49! He has the experience of only 18 first class matches till now, but such an experienced player has four 4 wicket hauls, 8 five wicket hauls, and 2 ten wicket hauls! Boy, this is amazing!!!

He recently modified his action and was passed by ICC's technical committee. So the chucker thing can be safely put away.

Murali clone in action.

However he needs to slug it out in the domestic cricket for atleast 2 more seasons to really prove his worth.

Anyone got a video of him bowling so I can see his action? Be interested to see what he bowls like, he's certainly got a very good FC record.

Right, just seen a video. That's a very interesting action he's got going on, just a carbon copy of Muttiah Muralitharan's action, which although gets results is always going to result in getting some flak and questions about him chucking. Just have to see what happens with him, if he's not capable of the same shoulder rotation that Murali is he'll get called for Chucking, there will only be 1 Muralitharan, his body is what makes his action, with his extremely flexible wrists and shoulder joints, and the fact that his arm can't actually straighten. The lads FC record clearly shows he's got talent though, just have to see how he goes.
