Alright, the end of our Innings! Time to get out there and bowl! I probably not going to start the bowling attack, but I should come in as 1st of 2nd change bowler. We'll just have to wait and see.
Its starting to rain... It was just a drizzle when we went to the dressing room, but now it is pouring. We'll be lucky to see any action today! This just makes it worse for us, as it gives us only 2 days to play.
Its already happened to India to declare when Master was on 194 not out
PC,
In batting, you were just unlucky to get out as the ball is missing the legstumps.. but umpires now a days are making some mistakes.. So no solution really found yet! Only way is refresh ur mind for bowling!
I predict a 5 wickets hold for u in bowling Nice presentation PC
Got him! I yelled Catch-it as loud as I could, and It was taken by the guy at gully. Success in my 3rd over of the game! A big wicket for me and for Sussex because we are running out of time.
Double it up! my second wicket! This one just went right through him! Defense broken, by my pace. I got the big one! It was Harvey who had to go. And I was surrounded by my mates!
Frustrating times were in for me and the team. We couldn't get a valuable partnership broken which took the game away from us. Day 3 was over, Day 4 just starting and they were only 3 down. (two for me, and one for Rana). Opening the attack on day four was me.
4 overs bowled by me, as I was already tired and running out of variations to bowl. But finally, the yorker once again did the job for me! the batsman missed it all ends up which resulted in his wicket flying!
I was given a break, but the other bowlers weren't able to get a wicket. I was brought on again, this would be my 5th spell of the innings, and 2nd of the day. again a pitched up delivery got em a wicket. Which ofcourse I was very delighted to get!
Same spell, another wicket! This would get me my first 5 wicket haul, in my first game for Sussex. I thought the catch had been dropped, because it was a hard one, but in the end to my delight the catch had been taken quite comfortably!
Now, I just had to finish it off and I did. 2 great swift edges got two tailenders out. We had a lead, but is was very small. Talking my way into the dressing room, the coach told us just to go out there and get use to the conditions. "Get some practice" he said. That was exactly what I had in my mind.
I cam in at the same position as I came in last time. This time though I was looking a bit more free. A bit more relaxed. Still I had to go through my regular routines of exercises to get some of the nerves out of my system!
And I settled in for my 50. Glad to get it really, It ends a my poor batting slump. I raised my bat for the first time in my career with Yardy on the other end congratulating me.
The end of the final day came upon us, a good 67 not out for me, and a good preformance with the ball earned me my first man of the match. One, that I was glad to get. But I wasn't happy with the result that we had gotten. Oh well, lets see If I can get something out of the shorter form of the game.
