New Zealand in Australia Nov-Dec 2008 Feb 2009

Kiwis will miss Bond.... Shane Bond.

In the movies too, they replaced Bond with Craig.
It would be no different here with NZ replacing Bond with either Southee or Martin.

I'm looking forward to our squad announcement. Sadly I don't think Franklin will be included as they probably want to give him part of the season with his domestic side. I'm really hopeful that Oram's back is fine and Martin is over his hamstring strain.

I can't believe how tight the test schedule is. We will just be finishing our 4th Test in India and then a few days later playing in Aus against NZ!

I hope the selectors pick a spinner. Would like Bollinger or Siddle in but I can't see the selectors dropping Johnson.

So the 11
Katich
Hayden
Ponting
Hussey
Clarke
Watson
Haddin
Casson/Hauritz/Holland/other spinner that performs in the next few weeks
Lee
Johnson
Clark

I checked the schedule: On 10 November 2008 the 4th Test could end and on 20 November 2008 the 1st Test against New Zealand will start.

And talking about quick matches: after the 5th ODI of Australia against South Africa finishes (30 January 2009) two days later the 1st ODI against New Zealand will start (1 February 2009).

If i had a dime for everytime someone says that i'd be a millionaire and with eight digits.

Its gonna be a test for the Aussie bowlers. Might as well rotate the bowling around and maybe give Ponting a break. Give Clarke or Hussey the captaincy against the kiwis. I wonder if Symonds will get picked.

Oh my bad that's NSW playing NZ, that should be an interesting match. Our two leading spinners get a chance to show their worth and Hughes a chance to show he can match it with the big boys. Perfect though thought I was going have to juggle between cricket and study.

Nothing to do with sponsors, CA just dumped it because it was too long and there was a lack of interest as it dragged on.

aus5892 added 0 Minutes and 45 Seconds later...

This series is always interesting and highly unpredictable.Last time,NZ whitewashed Aus. This time too, look out for some fireworks.
That was actually two years ago, last time we won 2-0.

Not sure on Holland or Hauritz in a test match. Hauritz is a class One Day bowler though. I would love to see Bollinger and Siddle get a few games this summer too.

Good news for Aussie fans. Oram is ruled out of the 2 tests. So even less chance at an upset. Oram was obviously the kind of player who could have swung a test our way and made the difference if he had put out a great all-round performance.

I hope they go for Franklin now I would like to see Elliot play over flynn and Franklin come in for Oram. I am getting tired of our awful test performances and would like to see some new faces for the aussie tests.

I would go for something like this

1: How
2: Fulton
3: Ryder
4: Taylor
5: McCullum
6: Hay
7: Elliot
8: Vettori
9: Franklin
10: Mills/O'Brien/Southee/Patel
11: Martin
