New Zealand In Australia

I can see us having more problems with Oram this series, that match was just a taste of things to come from him. Knowing Vincent he'll hit for against us as well and Taylor seems to love playing us.

Well Australia are building up a attack with Lee, Johnson and Tait who bowl generally fast. Nathan Bracken is very canny with the ability to swing the ball and bowl cutters later on. With Brad Hogg in there with his spinners. Australia look great in the bowling department and New Zealand are going to have to find away to get these pace bowlers away since they didn't look up to it today on this bouncy WACA pitch.

I don't think we'll have to worry much about Oram in this series, mainly because the NZ selectors are to dumb to shift him up the order.

Stupid Channel 9 :mad us Adelaide viewers only get to see 2 and a half hours of the match then their putting on that stupid kids program 'Sharky's Friends' with the shark hand puppet  and because i have a job interview and also have to deal with centrelink i can't get to the ground :noway

Channel 9s production quality is top notch , which is not something DD can boast of !

Exactly. Guess what Symonds averages batting at no. 7? 21.6. Even though these guys can sometimes find the middle straight away, they're much better when time is on their side.

With all the retired players, they have to recognise him as potentially their best batsman. Treat him as such and maybe he will pay off a dividend. In a T20, he should be top 4.

Oram is a danger when on song, as he showed in the Twenty20. As always though, Lou Vincent could be one to watch, he usually plays well against Australia. Twenty20's are unpredictable so his duck doesn't necessarily mean too much.

Great catch from Patel. New Zealands fielding looked really sharp which is promising but they just couldn't bowl well enough to Symonds at the end. Excellent bowling from Lee and Tait, great stuff by them. Noffke bowled well too.

Agree on Oram moving up give him as much time as possible to get going. But seeing how they went about with Cairns doesn't look likely.

I don't think we want to be messing around with our batting order too much. We have new guys like How and Taylor, we just need to give those guys time to settle in a bit. I think Sinclair should be in before Styris, but otherwise I think it's fine how it is.

I'd use the same eleven as we used in the Twenty/20 and have Chris Martin come in for Patel if it seems like a pitch where Patel will get no assistance.

We really didn't need to lose a wicket off a rank short wide ball like that. Bad luck. That's what happens when you're out of form I guess.

At least we won the toss.

Looking at Shaun Taits action i can tell that why theres conterversy over it,Its not as bad as people are making out though.

His action is fine. At least to.day. They've shown a few slow mos and from all the angles throughout.

I hope we can keep this up. Good stuff. Great knock by McCullum thus far.

Argh, he deserved that hundred. It's never fair. Chanceless innings, some beautiful shots and holes out.
