New Zealand In Australia

Exactly. That's usually the reason they can bat so easily. Mills wasn't bowling bad balls, Gilly was just too good. Fetching perfect length balls from outside the offstump. Wouldn't have been so easy against Bondy though.

Gillespie isn't someone we would like to be opening the bowling. But unfortunately Franklin and Bond are both injured. Bondy and Mills sounds like a pretty nice combo to me. Let us hope we can field them against England. Having Franklin as well would be terrific.
It might have been slightly harder against Bond but this is still giving batsmen a lot of credit for simply unfavourable bowling conditions. Mills is generally no slouch, but he might have been caught off guard expecting the ball to do a bit more through the air. It was a fairly predictable occasion at the Adelaide Oval, which makes me wonder why Patel was omitted.

Headed down today, Gillys knock was amazing! that six ontop of the Chappell stand was a classic! Shame he got out, he was on fire.

Have to say that the Aussies looked a class above, Tait is like a God to watch, so exhilarating.

Also, I think Ross Taylor will be an absoloute champ.

I reckon Ross will be a champ too. Hes just gotta mature a bit, not play so many silly shots.

Yeah, his shot to get out was really silly. As usual. Just needs the experience and that will help him out there in those situations on which shots to play and when. He has all the talent.

I wonder if maybe Vincent should swap with How. How usually opens the innings. It number 3 you really need to be able to come in after a good start and keep things moving along rather then cause a great decline. Sinclair is a waste down the order where he is. He isn't used to the role he's been given. We need another big lower order hitter to help Oram out a bit now that we've lost McMillan and McCullum has gone up the order.

I'm not so sure about How, he seems uncomfortable. They really miss Fulton, I think. I like that guy. Isn't he fit yet?

Fulton definitely impressed me, he seems to have the ability to bat fast or slow. Hard to forget his knock last season against us, bashed us to all parts when we didn't expect it.

New Zealand have seem to forgotten Darryl Tuffy. He is very good bowler and is also looking fit playing in ICL.

the kiwis are missing mcmillan, they could definitely use someone like him in their middle order.

For very good reason too, hes over the hill these days.

Although the pace is down to 120-130kph, his accuracy remains very good and the reward is in an economy rate of 5.50. I understand that there is a massive gradient between ICL T20 and ODI cricket but I think that his control over accuracy would translate completely, no matter the level.

I am going to the game today! :happy. Though knowing the SCG most times Australia play One Day cricket there it rains so I am hoping that the weather holds off and I can see New Zealand waste their time :)

ARGH!!!!! I hate you!!!. Lol I soooooooooooooooo wanted to go to this game. Oh well, have fun mate. Where will you be sitting? I usually sit at the paddington end (The end near the dressing rooms) for Pura games because the Doug Walters stand isn't open... But they've knocked that down now :(
