New Zealand in England

Must have got his English qualifications after he signed with Gloucester or something like Ed Joyce, I can't see them making that much of a mistake :p

IMO its a rort of the system that England can bring in a player from another country like that. (IMO England abuse the subbing system anyway).

Good bowling performance however, first decent watch i've had of this series. Entertaining knock from Mills to complete a good NZ recovery. Hope their bowlers can make a game of it.

Well Elliot proved me wrong, it may not of been the most fluent innings but it was what New Zealand needed. And a great knock by Mills, great power hitting at the end.

Lets hope we can get Bell and Wright early.

Has anyone done any less to get into an international side... Luke Wright is hopeless, he makes Mitchell Johnson look good

I cant believe that rule... thats absolutely ridiculous but i suppose if a side is touring another country it might be helpful... may be another one of those rules from along long long long long time ago

Whacked a run a ball 50 on his debut. Good batsman.

Averages 20 with the bat and 40 odd with the ball in One Dayers Domestic......

He isn't that good, he only has a few shots. He might prove me wrong today though.

Howsie added 4 Minutes and 4 Seconds later...

And he doesn't out for 2, great bowling Mills.

Come on New Zealand.

:D Out. But, one of my pet hates is cricket stats. Most of the time they are nonsense.

I would like him batting 7 in the ODI side. He can do a job there. Keep him away from the test side though.

Bring back the Colonel!

Has a couple of good shots, some talent. That alone doesn't make a good batsman, much less a good opening batsman. Handy, but very, very raw all-rounder with some glaring weaknesses. Let's not forget that while Wright made 50 on debut, India chased 300. It wasn't exactly one for the ages.

So because he hasnt gotten out all the Kolpaks he is unleashed on a weak New Zealand side...

What happened to earning your spot, cricket stats dont always show the truth.. but they give you a general idea

He hit a hundred in a sky game which automatically earns you tons of hype from the people at sky which most of the time works. To a certain extent it was the case with Broad although he is good enough we can see that but he performed in the twenty20 games on sky and on the finals day which earn him loads ofhype.

Anyway Ravi and Bell in now, not looking good. This target should be easy enough with our depth in the batting but it never will be. What's the odds this partnership ends with a run out :D
