Did they have security around them all the time like at the hotel and at the ground, or was it just when they were traveling between the ground and hotel?

At the ground unless you had Access badges you could not get near them. No one knew where they were staying so at the hotel the guys did what they wanted. 90% of the time the kiwis sat by the pool or played golf. The Lankans played a lot of golf as well.

The coolest part about it all was I guess just seeing that they are human. I saw Ian Chappel at 8 in the morning, hair all ruffled walking to the pool, he looked way out of it.

Was really interesting to see what they ate on gameday, the breakfast at the hotel was a 5 star buffet with everything imaginable but every single Sri Lankan and Kiwi ate only fresh fruit, milk, cereal and bread..

Atmosphere was great as well, a great mix of all the worlds cricket fans and a decent amount of Americans. Mostly Sri Lankans and West Indians though.

FYI Sri Lanka girls = super hot (either that or really hot Indian girls wearing Sri Lanka jerseys)

Some of the NZ guys were wearing baseball gear around the hotel. Oram was wearing Marlins jerseys and caps and Mills had a Cincinnati Reds cap. I think I saw Styris wearing a Marlins cap as well.

Oh and funny story, I was with 2 of my friends and we needed someone to take a picture, Ian Gould was standing right there and I asked him and he said "Oh Id love to but my vision is not good".

WTF, lol he is an umpire!, I think he meant he did not have his glasses but it came out funny.

Also, some of the SC fans had no class at all, a few of them were standing as close as you could get to the kiwi dugout with the cheap seats and just pointing at them and calling their names out really loudly in annoying accents. I yelled out "its not a flinging zoo" and some of the players chuckled, and so did a lot of the West Indians in the crowd.

This one Indian guy ran up to Chappell and said "You are the 2nd best batsman after Gavaskar"

The look on Chappells face was priceless, it was almost a "lets see you bat, you fat fearsome tweak"

Yea I cant sleep, I slept from 4pm to 11pm in the airports and on the plane. Luckily I took off work till Wednesday so I have a few days to recover.
