New Zealand tour of India (Sept-Oct 2016)

Fighting knock by Jinks

Fantastic

They're surely going to break some record here

Virat Kohli becomes the first Indian to score double tons as a captain...

That was some amazing grinding of NZ bowling, by Kohli and Rahane. Terrific knocks. These two along with Pujara, Vijay and Rahul should be India's pillars in the years to come, bad luck notwithstanding.

It's India''s highest partnership for the 4th wicket (365 runs) according to cricinfo. I think it would've been much better had Rahane and Kohli accelerate on Day 2. They played a bit too slow and there was less time to get a wicket or two in the NZ innings.

Amazing batting from Kohli and Rahane yesterday. Kohli's double century was almost expected like the one he made in WI couple of months ago because he looked so good. Jinks however batted amazingly well even when he was struggling against the short deliveries. Rohit can definately learn from him about how to not throw your wicket away even when you are in a difficult situation. I want to say it's Rahane's best hundred since he had to really grind out but then that hundred at Lord's comes up to my mind and it gets difficult to decide since he has played so many classy knocks. Onto the bowlers now.

I think the only team that can defeat India in India is Pakistan, and that's not happening anytime soon, and nor should it happen. Sri Lanka would have an outside chance, i think.

The ratio of Kohli committing a mistake was 1:366 in this innings. What a player he has been turning into already!

He just needs to be more consistent in Tests. He didn't get a fifty between his two doubles.

I doubt it. India is a very strong team at home. Pakistan could give some fright but it's a difficult task.

India vs Pakistan would be an outstanding series. Sri Lanka haven't a hope in hell of beating India anywhere in the world. I think you're under estimating England. The sheer talent and depth of that team reminds me a lot of the Aussies of the 2000-2007. I think India will be strong anywhere in the sub-continent. Outside Asia? Apart from the useless West Indies, we will always find Eng, Aus, NZ and SA conditions a massive massive challenge.

Long story short? All countries are exceptional at home.

No quality spinners in Tests.

I'm not saying Pakistan can't win in India against India, it's just it be very hard to beat India in India. India can dominate against any team in their home conditions. If Pakistan played ever in a series against India, and won against them, they would rightfully be the No.1 team.
