New Zealand tour of India (Sept-Oct 2016)

Both Pujara and Sharma in. Only 4 bowlers

Sharma ji ka beta has to be in. I am happy they didn't drop Shami.

Why the hell is Sharma there ? This should be his LAST chance to revive his test career. He freaking shouldn't be given any more chances.. We are down to only 4 bowlers now.

God forbid he scores a hundred here... we will never get rid of him *shudders*

Staying up here in America where it's midnight to catch the first session!

Both Kiwi quicks seem to be getting something out of the conditions, Boult with a little swing from the clouds and Wagner with some unpredictable bounce. Boult is a little further back of a length than I'm used to seeing him - perhaps he thinks he can hit a crack and get some deviation. Rahul looks a little unsure against the short ball early.

One of the two Sharmas has to be in the side! I would even go to the extent of saying that Ashwin at Nohit`s position would offer more solidity to the side! A very good side otherwise. We will need 5 bowlers on this one against a solid NZ batting lineup. This looks like a track where Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor could bat for eons. On another note, Pujara and Vijay looking solid. With these two in good form, our test batting could probably be one of the most secure looking ones in the world.

I actually prefer tests at this time to those in NZ - it starts at 4pm so I only miss the first session at work and can watch the next two before I go to bed

Vijay is gone ! NZ came back strongly in this session. Now let's see how Rohit plays. Even though our batting has depth, we can't really rely on anyone after Rahane.

Well Rohit Sharma Disappoints again.Another Soft Dismissal.

Hopefully end of Rohit's career...

I don't understand how B Kumar can be dropped. India playing an unnecessary extra batsman in my opinion. Ashwin at 6 in India is a no brainer I feel!

I'm very disappointed personally with Pujara's dismissal. He's throwing away tons in my opinion. Rohit Sharma did what was expected from him.

A good day for New Zealand.... They played really well in the last session... India must have to bowl really well to get a lead from this total..
