Oram got the hattrick. :banana2

Oram to Bandara, OUT, a great jumping catch from McCullum at long-off silences the crowd, a low full toss from Oram, Bandara lofts it straight at long-on, that's another dot ball, McCullum amde plenty of ground to his right before taking that one

Malinga is the batsman walking out

That's funny, I laways thought a hatrick was three consecutive wickets from 3 balls. I stand mistaken.

The look on Vettori's face after the Dilscoop shot or whatever its called, was priceless.

Love him or hate him, Dilshan is one of the most innovative an exciting talents out there today.

Lol, he seems furious. :rtfl Looking back at this match, I really don't know how the Sri Lankans seem to lose after the carnage from Dilshan and the run rate being so high. Having said that, skipper Danial Vettori bowled superbly and deserved the man of the match award ahead of Dilshan imo.

Second T20 should be good. :banana2

We shouldn't of won that haha. Oram is horrible and needs to be dropped.

Gun win, Bond kept it tight after his first which was good. I got no sleep and now I have school FMD.

I'm confused why everyone's calling it his shot when players like Ashraful and Brandon McCullum and others were the first ones playing it.

Can't believe our part time bowler got a hattrick. The commentators had no idea. Then again, they're all Sri Lankan biased which is probably why.

im just calling it by what its more commonly known, its easier to say dilscoop than "the paddle shot where he ducks and plays it directly over the line of middle stump."

Probably because Dilshan really started using it more prolifically. Sri Lanka really should have won this, they were poor in the field.

yea which is surprising for them. they are usually a good fielding team.

I guess that's what you get when people start playing a new shot for which there are no formal terms for. Everyone plays it a little different, so it becomes a different shot each time. You can recognise a great deal of players by their shots, but the shots have proper names and people like to stick to them, eg. nobody calls Ponting's pull shot the Punt'n'pull or something ridiculous like that.

lol, im going to try to coin this phrase now, can almost hear Tony Grieg yelling it in his annoying voice

A very good comback by NZ,they fought hars, and really in a T20 game, nothing can be predicted,Dilshan was going so strong,it looked he took the game away from NZ,but finally NZ won, once again very good bowling by Vettori,4 overs 11runs 2 wickets,in his 1st two overs he gave 8 runs, that means in his last two overs he got 1 wicket pkus he just gave 3 runs! Bond was not that effective, but he might play a big role in upcoming ODI series..
