He slipped away while everyone was making merry. He had to push his way past pads and bats once he he had got through the door. He was greeted by a giant cutout of his target - it was even signed. He started to rifle through the drawers.

He was content that no-one would suspect him. He had laid his traps well and they would all go off perfectly. He was that kind of guy.

The writeup suggest that there is two anti-towns,

"He was content that no-one would suspect him."

But what does this say? A mafia godfather?

Since this was a non-lethal night, the godfather wouldn't have used his role. Cannot be sure whether he was in the writeup or not.
From the looks of things, 2 mafia are possible.
I think the godfather is likely to get town-aligned if investigated, that explains why "He was content that no-one would suspect him."
