This is about right for Siddle lately, he's most threatening when he bowls near 150km/h but then he gets injured. And there is the jack of all trades about him with the outswinger, always manages to get the odd one to swing but struggles to do it consistently.
It's a good pair for the tacky surface, because they're not typically fussed by scoring rates. One would expect KP and Bell to get substantially more frustrated if they can't drive.
We need variety in our pace attack. I see Siddle and Watson as toilers and nothing more. Johnson is too inconsistent with his line and length while Hilfenhaus gets some movement most times but not a great deal. We need to find someone who can get genuine movement - either in the air or off the seam or both - and can trouble a batsman consistently.
I think everyone does underestimate Watsons bowling. He could be very useful this series for the Aussies. He has been good ever since he forgot about the pace and concentrated more on swing and accuracy.
Cook has been mostly quiet thus far, almost forgot about him till that pulled 4. Then again, Cook going about things quietly is pretty much what we want to see him doing. Just accumulating without fuss.
