Now tell me he isn't a chucker?!

Nah, I've always felt that Murali is a pretty humble fellow. But, yes, he does tend to be self-confident at times. For example, he doesn't feel the need to take diuretic pills to look better.
Ahahah well said!

But seriously, this is rediculous. IMO Hooper sums up Australian attitude easily. "Whatever we think is right, and everyone else should agree with it"

either Dean or Hooper said, in all honestly the subcontinent fans would rather side with their neighbors than us.

Now that comment is rediculous. If prehaps you guys were correct, all of us would be on your side, but since you're not, well, this discussion is sad.

The laws were not changed for Murali. Did you know all of McGrath's balls went over the degree limit (10) in 2004 Champions Trophy IIRC. Some people are quick to jump the bandwagon to attack another person on another team, but when it comes to their players... Surprised no one has mentioned McGrath's elbow extension in 2004 yet.

Its more convincing that the laws were changed for McGrath, because all his balls were illegal, while just Murali's doosra was illegal at the time.

I remember the guy who found Murali when he was 16 saying that people say that he is chucking because there is no other way to how he accomplished what he did.

I think Hooper needs to get his head checked in, he can't prove it, and scientists much more intelligent than him have proved that he doesn't cheat.

And to be honest Hooper, the last time an Australian no-balled somebody for chucking, it was the last time he would ever do it. (Darrell Hair)

Australian mentality I think again - "What we think is right, so the rest of the world should think that too"

Well to be honest you sum up the Asian Cricket community to me, "We hate Australia and all their cricketers ~ they are arrogant and cocky". Thats how I have seen many fans of Pakistan and India reflect themselves.

And to be honest, you guys are just jealous of our Cricket Team, don't deny it. Thats why you are dragging Warne and McGrath into this.

And when you want to say something, read it thoroughly and actually read what Iam saying, I never said he is illegal, I said he throws the ball in a way that gives him an unfair advantage.

Hooper, the only problem people on this forum and real life have with your opinion about Murali is that you charade it around as a fact. You have every right to your own opinion but when you say "I never said he is illegal, I said he throws the ball in a way..." you are implying that that is the truth, whereas it is nothing more than an opinion.

And yes, most cricket fans are jealous of Australian cricketers because they are far more successful than our country's. But if you are going to be ignorant enough to believe that dislike for Australian cricket is just based around that fact alone, then there is no use even trying to knock some sense in.

zMario your hate for Australians is astounding. Hooper expressed an opinion and you have attacked our entire country and our cricketers over it. McGrath is completely irrelevant. You just want another excuse to call us Australians arrogant and that what we think is right is what you should think is right, which is almost as ridiculous as believing the opinion of 1 person to be the opinion of an entire nation.

Hooper is entitled to his opinion, just as you are entitled to yours. Stop spraying it everywhere.

Re Murali's character, I have to say that I see him as a lot more arrogant than Warne. He announced to the world that he wants to get 1000 wickets, whilst Warne retired at the top of his game in part to give youngsters a go.

:D Nah, Warne's far more arrogant than Murali. :p

Lads, let's not make this personal.

The title in your thread is "Now tell me he isn't a chucker?!"

Stop lieing. You said a controversial statement, and you had no facts to prove it.

Unless you think we're the world's biggest idiots, you have no case.
Scientists and Professors have proved it over and over that he doesn't cheat, or chuck.

If you wanted a debate on his unfair advantage (as you call it, his abnormality in his arm), then please do so. That argument has little merit, but it still has some merit, but this argument of yours has NONE.

You say I hate Australians - can you please provide me where I said that?

I described the average Australian's mentality to people outside of Australia.

While this may or not may apply to you, it is what everybody else thinks of them. And when most of the world thinks that about you (not even Cricket wise), then there is something wrong. I am talking about Australians as a general consensus (sp?).

Remember the Murali signs in Australia? The abuse YOU GUYS delivered to him? I'm not surprised he didn't do an Inzamam (took a cricket bat and tried to bash the crowd members) - what has happened to him is a lot worse than what happened to Inzy, but Inzy got fired up and upset.

Now, getting back on topic. The reason I mentioned McGrath was that Hooper (or you, cant remember) said that the degree limits were changed for Murali's doosra.

While that is completely untrue, I came up with a counterstatement. And that is that ALL of McGrath's balls were over his 10 degree limit, while only Murali's doosra was over the limit.

If the rules were unchanged, Murali's doosra would be banned, and McGrath would be banned.

Now, hopefully this thread can get back on the right track.

You have said it but you your usage of words does not give that meaning. That's like me saying the following paragraph will be in yellow and then doing this:

Why, what a wonderful, mustardy color.

You are presenting your opinion as if it is supposed to be obvious to everyone by claiming things such as you don't care about science and anyone who sees Murali's action knows he chucks. This is obviously your opinion but you are presenting it as if it's fact and then when people disagree with you, you claim it is just your opinion and then you go on to add another little opinion charading as a fact... and the cycle repeats.

*sigh* Is this another one of your tantrums? I didn't keep this going, it was going along pretty nicely without the aid of me. So please, put your toys back in your pram and call somebody else immature.

I don't like Warne because he's a womanizer, but as a cricketer he's the best spin bowler i've ever seen.

Of course it isn't a 'tantrum'. You don't know the meaning of the word.

You tried to get him to make another post with that 'no reply so we win' line or whatever you said. THAT is immaturity. You could have just let the issue die but all you've done is made it worse now.

There is a small number of poms on this site who arn't total idiots, and you arn't one of them.

This is part of the reason I started visiting less. This is a good reminder. I don't even think i'm going to get myself dragged into one of these discussions again.

It's a shame you lack the maturity to let it go.

You had to keep this going didn't you.

I find it rich how you apply these to me yet your the one who has just openly insulted me for no reason whatsoever when you didn't need to and could have just let it go. It looks as if you've scoured through two pages with the sole intention of finding one of my posts to respond to. Now that to me shows a 'lack of maturity to let something go'. Relax, it's the internet. Go find a real life person or a wall to argue with. Seriously, go try to pick an argument with someone who cares.

Can we please put all these fights aside. If you wish to continue them use the PM system or MSN.
Unless you are posting something related to the thread title don't post. Any further posts off topic will result in this thread being closed.

Well,no offense hooper i would say even if anyone would bowl with a bended arm by birth will bowl like muralitharan.

i think this "chuking" has been dis-regarded a while ago and there has been no such words being spoken again since ever.but, can we stop this topic till here?:)

No, it is a cheap shot at Australia and has nothing to do with anything. It is what YOU think of Australia, and it is derogative. How anyone can say they don't hate Australia then post something like that is beyond me. If Pakistani fans burn effigys of your captain because he failed once why can't we make signs? It's a free country. Lots of people make signs, so what?

This thread should have been closed a long time ago.
