Australia are keeping theirs wrapped up cause of how tight this match will be.

I wish Australia would actually try to win a series instead of making 3 or 4 changes to their side every game when it really isn't needed. They do this in the VB series as well by resting some of their best talent, how unfair is this to the fans who pay to go watch the game? I wouldn't be that happy being Mike Hussey whose waited 10-12 years just to get into the actual side only to be rested for acouple of 20 year olds especially as Australia get ready to face a team who could pose a bit of a threat to Australia. I mean West Indies? Fine. But India? C'mon. If anyone should be rested it should be that god-awful Simon Katich.

Who knows he might be rested (hopefully!), I suspect our main players will play in the last 2 games if they don't play today as this tournament was also meant to be our build up for the Champions trophy.

I wanna see Matthew Hayden back in the side. His much more consistant then Katich and he can go at a run a ball when required as in he can tonk the ball around much like Gilchrist. I'm supprised that Hayden's ODI strike-rate isn't higher as his Test Match strike-rate is like at 60.

Hayden's an accomplished player and is up there with the likes of Tendulkar, Ponting, Dravid, Kallis, etc. I think it's a risk with Katich though, he either makes 0-10 or 30-60 and in the first game against the West Indies against a not so strong bowling attack, he made 30 odd off 70 bowls (This is the time where he should really kick on and get his strike-rate up to nearly a run a ball) and played a stupid shot and got himself out.

What's new, hes been doing this since he got back into the ODI team. Selectors obviously don't care about it though.

Yes, it should be very interesting indeed! If I am not mistaken, these two countries have not played each other in ODI's since the World Cup! Can someone confirm this?

And the Tendulkar-Mcgrath battle would be good!

Starts in about an hour. Can't wait.

Yeah me too.... going to be an interesting one... If Sachin stays for long time, then Sachin Vs Mcgrath is definitely going to be an interesting one!!! :happy

in other words, one of the classic battles!!!

The match I have been waiting for a long time. I would have preffered Hussey, Symonds and Gilchrist (Gilchrist not in the squad) to play, then it would be a true test of which team is better.

Lol but Watson is opening. :laugh Talk about disrespecting India.

Oh yea, Jaques is back. 6 and 4 to bring his score to 20 off 22 balls.
