ODI Tri-Series (Malaysia)

Can't believe how badly we have collasped. Cosgrove isn't in good form over here, Clarke however is in excellent form. Haddin is more than capable of staying with Clarke.

Looking at those clouds now. It might be a possibility that McGrath bowls out in the first 20 overs to ensure India would have a lower run rate then Australia had.

By the way, is Sehwag opening?

Big guns? We only had one in Ponting the rest aren't huge superstars. Cosgrove is a decent hitter so if he sticks around watch out. Haddin also knows hot to finish an inns. After that we're in trouble.
I would consider Martyn a big gun as well, and Watson was kicking ass too, though he's not a big gun yet.

He's been coming down the order, but who knows, they might send him to open today with Sachin.

Martyn hasn't done much in awhile though, his lucky to even be in the team at the moment. I guess only his previous accolades are keeping him in. I'd almost call Clarke a big gun, to me his a very valueable one-day player.

Wouldn't supprise me if Sehwag opened, I don't even know why he isn't opening in the first place. I think him and Tendulkar are the only guys who could really get after McGrath. I dunno about Dhoni or Pathan.

Lightening! My gosh...

Also, what is up with Sehwags rapid hair loss? I also saw the same thing on Rana Naved from Pakistan and their both only 27-28 years of age!

Martyn alright not really a big gun for me, just like Katich. Cosgrove however is one and hes gone. We're probably get 280 odd, 300 if these 2 stay in.

Something to do with helmets I believe.

And I just checked cricinfo to find that Watson hit 79 off 74 balls. Maybe he isn't as bad as I thought.

Watson always had the talent with the bat, hes just always batting too low. Put him up the order and this is what he can do.

But is he in there as a batsman or an all-rounder? As a bowler he looks average, but is he good enough to warrant a place for his batting alone?

Those are genuine questions by the way, I know very little about Watson.

Well Watson has a much better First-Class average then Clarke and Cosgrove. I dunno though, I think Clarke's a great ODI batsman that's a little to risky in Test Matches. I'm pretty happy with Watson's performances and if he can perform at say number 4 in Test's and ODI's like people over this forum have said then I think he'd be a great asset to the Australian Cricket Team with batting alone.

Why isn't Brett Lee playing? Australia need him in this sort of situation at the back-end of the innings. He shouldn't be complaining about tiredness, hes been off for almost 5 months.

Same reason all of the other usuals aren't playing. Their testing the new guys like Jaques, Cosgrove, Johnson, etc. I wouldn't worry though. Stuart Clark is playing and apparently he is like a Glenn McGrath type bowler.

He can get in on batting alone but his bowling in ODI is more than useful. He showed that in the 1st ODI of the series and in the World Series.

This is poor finishing, Clarke now out just what we didn't need. Hopefully Johnson can carry on from where he left off in the last game.

The camera's are increasingly getting worse and every so often the screen turns purple for a second or two. The match is going to get called off I imigane.
