I would consider Martyn a big gun as well, and Watson was kicking ass too, though he's not a big gun yet.aussie1st said:Big guns? We only had one in Ponting the rest aren't huge superstars. Cosgrove is a decent hitter so if he sticks around watch out. Haddin also knows hot to finish an inns. After that we're in trouble.
He's been coming down the order, but who knows, they might send him to open today with Sachin.wfdu_ben91 said:By the way, is Sehwag opening?

wfdu_ben91 said:Also, what is up with Sehwags rapid hair loss? I also saw the same thing on Rana Naved from Pakistan and their both only 27-28 years of age!
aussie1st said:Watson always had the talent with the bat, hes just always batting too low. Put him up the order and this is what he can do.
evertonfan said:But is he in there as a batsman or an all-rounder? As a bowler he looks average, but is he good enough to warrant a place for his batting alone?
Those are genuine questions by the way, I know very little about Watson.
Drewska said:Why isn't Brett Lee playing? Australia need him in this sort of situation at the back-end of the innings. He shouldn't be complaining about tiredness, hes been off for almost 5 months.
wfdu_ben91 said:Well Watson has a much better First-Class average then Clarke and Cosgrove. I dunno though, I think Clarke's a great ODI batsman that's a little to risky in Test Matches. I'm pretty happy with Watson's performances and if he can perform at say number 4 in Test's and ODI's like people over this forum have said then I think he'd be a great asset to the Australian Cricket Team with batting alone.
