ODI Tri-Series (Malaysia)

Lucky for us then, cause we just lost another wicket in Johnson. Not great stuff from Hogg given hes the senior batsmen, too many dot balls from him.

Hoggs not a bad batsman. I once heard that he sometimes bats well up the order in the Western Australian team.

This lightening is immense and is a menace.

I think it's funny the camera angles though, I remember watching clips from the 70s & 80s of the camera angle being behind the batsman and now it's being ultilized. It's only because it's to dangerous for the camera men at the other end but oh well.

Hes a handy batsmen but he ain't doing much today. Clark is out, McGrath walks into rain while Hogg 12 off 22, not the finish you want.

You can't fault him for that, they have to do what they can to bat out the innings.

Hmmm, I don't think this is the smartest move in the world. Dravid is opening, why not go with Sehwag, especially with the weather and all. I mean they could get off to a flying start with Sehwag & Tendulkar and take runs off even McGraths overs and then in the middle order Dravid can play right through the innings.

Doesn't matter though, McGrath is still going to take Tendulkars offstump out of the ground :D

No it's a smart move. If it does rain, India only require 60 odd by 20 overs if they dont lose a wicket. If say Sehwag did open and start flaying the bowlers and if he did go out, the target would be say over 70.

Yeah I realised that on commentary, soz.

But haha, McGrath cracked Tendulkar on the head first-ball!

Good start from Johnson as well.

McGrath bowling beautifully and using the new balls well. Real test for these two now.

Looks like McGrath is bowling well :(. Does anyone know what pace he's bowling? About a month ago he said hes bowling faster than ever.

Ohhh must be an awesome battle. Wish I could watch.

India should get these no problem if the weather is ok. Australia will pay for experimenting.

Without having seen him bowl a single ball, I can safely say he's not bowling faster than ever. :D

a good contest between McGrath and Tendulkar. that four he hit, its very similar to the first shot he played against McGrath in India, in 2001 (4th ODI i think) and in Nairobi.

I hope this match continues.

Rain is irritating especially India's cricket a lot now a days!!!

Well their playing a match irottev won't like. Australia smashing New Zealand in a previous ICC Champions Trophy encounter. Symonds & Martyn easily guiding Australia to victory, Hayden also chipped in with 47 :D

But yeah, another rain delay. I was more so impressed with Johnson's first few overs but I guess you kinda expect McGrath to go under 3 or 4 runs per over.
