Gilly for mind has been the perfect opener, who knows what Langer would have done but what Gilly has done is give us some very quick fire starts.

Jaques looks like he is well and truely ready ad he'll get his chance when the retirements happen. Same with Cosgrove, with him at 4 we will have a very dangerous top 4 with Katich stabilizing the ship.

Katich still shouldnt be in this team, We have ricky. Haydos will do a much much better role considering nowadays he isnt a slogger anymore. The selectors have got it wrong I'm afraid to saY!

Hayden is quiet gud so Australia doesnt need Katich..... Australia has a gr8 team already....they dont need any change....

Side for the 1st ODI, great to see Cosgrove given a shot. I wonder where he will bat as I suspect Clarke will play 4. Bowling lineup not too bad. Bracken is going well and hopefully McGrath with his usual 2.0 rpo.

Yeah but McGrath is
Btw, Yuvraj Singh is to miss India's first match as he is down with fever.

I want to know why Hayden isn't playing. He is clearly a quality batsman and it looks like the selectors are giving him an opportunity to make the World Cup squad, so I suspect that he will be retiring soon after the World Cup. But how can he make an impression from the pavilion? If you are going to select Hayden in the squad surely you have to play him.

With a week to go, does anyone know what kind of broadcast coverage this is getting?

In US it is on Dishnetwork and Willow TV. Both Tri Series and Champions Trophy.

I believe the Aussies are saving him against India.
Last time round too,Matty came back in form against India only.
They might just be playing a psycological game here.

We have 4 games at the very least. They were always going to give each player a fair go. Hayden will get his chance next game.

Not long to go now. I'm so excited just waiting to see the Aussies in action again.

Noooo... If only cable Zee TV were showing it here in Australia as well, an why South Africa instead?

Oh well, either I'll have to listen to commentary from All India Radio or ABC Radio (does anyone if ABC are providing audio commentary?)

the Australian team looks fairly strong, even without some of its regular players in the first x1
